I wonder why he and Mike are so confident that we are better than last year’s franchise and ‘17-18 best record team.

Our ceiling is potentially higher, but our floor is probably lower as well.

Where is the improvement coming from?

MDA thinks Rockets are better than last season. Morey hasn't definitively said Rockets are better this season. However, Morey thinks the Rockets are the best team to tackle the West. That's good enough for me.

This is the definitive statement I was waiting for from Morey. Not as Great as his quotes in the past, but I'll take it.

Morey has something cooking for sure.

If that’s Jimmy Butler - and it doesn’t cost us PJ - then this team is right there defensively yet again. CP3 Capela Butler would be incredible.

Hate to lose EG but we have recruited well enough to cover him on offence.

“Please to be gettingith it doneth Morey my liege”

Love mourayes responses. It’s a delicate balancing act between hyping our squad but not putting too many expectations n therefore causing people to have disappointment - yet also giving his expectations of us to have the best team possible to combat the western conference .amazing leadership and management of peoples expectations. He would make a great fortune teller

    What did we lose?
    Anderson? Addition by subtraction.
    Luc? Damaged goods.
Trevor? Ennis is a younger version of Ariza on an upward trajectory versus Ariza's natural decline.

    What did we gain?
Carmelo? I'm not a big Melo fan but he is clearly a better offensive option than anyone we lost and people seem to undervalue his acquisition.
Brandon Wright? Gives a fourth high level (potentially) backcourt option.
MCW? Can't shoot but can play D and distribute
Criss/Caboclo? Could be diamonds in the rough.
Zhou Qi or Hartenstein? Maybe ready to contribute in the right spots.

    I'm certainly optimistic.

Morey is doing his best job as a salesman. I'm cautiously optimistic; like the rest of you, I want to see what he might have up his sleeve. Training camp is almost upon us.

It is so cool having a very good GM and watching him grow with the team.

I remember when he looked like a kid......

To seeing him now, over a decade later..... with an elite team that he built without the ability to tank.

So cool......... I hope he is with the Rockets until this.......

Lucky for him. In case he gets fired, he knows what his next career is.

Interesting how a guy can grow a full extra chin in a decade and then lose all chins in several more decades.

As it turns out, Amare Stoudemire and Chriss both have almost identical measurements. I always thought he had T-Rex looking arms but I guess MDA has something to work with.

Well for one we got rid of two dead weight players. One who was getting payed 18 million a year and scored zero point in game 7 and another who went 0-12 at one point alao in game 7. That alone has made us better.

Right, we also signed a guy who played zero minute in game 7 for 40 million a year. ;)

But we got a guy who will take minute loads off that 40 million a year player and prevent that from happening again when we got rid of that 18 million dollar ghost! The KNIGHT is always darkest before the dawn. ;)

He seems confident. I am too. I think we will be back in the WCF again. I truly believe Ennis is going to surprise a lot of people on the defensive end this year.
