I hear Lawson and Rubio frequently thrown around on this board as potenial "playmaking" PG options, but haven't heard Collison mentioned much--would we be interested? A hip injury for a 27 year may be alarming, but people tend to forget how solid Collison was before the injury. I randomly came across some old UCLA highlights with Collison and Westbrook in the backcourt; and it made me think how well he would fit well with Harden. I think this could be an under the radar signing. With the signing of Rondo, could the Kings deal him? Could this be the suprise find for Morey before the deadline? What do you guys think?
I've been advocating for that for months. He's been talked about a good bit in various threads. People seem to have mixed feelings.
Not cheaper. He makes over twice as much. Collison is not bad but I don't think he really provides enough to make us that much better
Would love him, but haven't the Kings confirmed they want to run Collison and Rondo together and that they plan on keeping Collison? Rondo is only on a 1 year deal, they traded their 3rd string PG in McCollum. So pretty sure he's not a available.
This. They plan on keeping Collison and Rondo and are even looking for a 3rd PG behind them. Spoiler <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Vlade Divac said the Kings are still looking for a stretch 4 and a third point guard on the <a href="https://twitter.com/GrantNapearshow">@GrantNapearshow</a>.</p>— Blake Ellington (@BlakeEllington) <a href="https://twitter.com/BlakeEllington/status/621113769683369985">July 15, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Save your Papanikolaou-or-Jones for Collison trade scenarios.
I keep telling yall, we're going to end up with Shabazz Napier and Josh McRoberts. Start readying you minds for it
cyber said about 3 weeks ago that we had put a filler on Collison. Unfortunately the Kings are not so stupid to let him go only because of Rondo. He's not available right now and we can't make a trade with an unwilling partner.
Collison has been mentioned a ton around here.. I honestly think he's about the same impact of a player as Beverley, I'd love to have him on the team.
