    It sucks because it cost us $113k in salary and tax.... and we didnt even get to use the 5 days of service which were left on the deal. I think the Rockets stand pat now until the trade deadline and the buyout market.

    Sucks for nunnaly tho.

    I don't understand the drama around this Tweet.
    Sounds like MDA felt bad for Nunnally losing his spot on the team. Nothing more.
    Now some are trying to make it about MLK?

    If the league is going to have a deadline, shouldn't they make provisions around a holiday?

    He should be mad at his owner for not just waiving these scrubs earlier and be mad at his GM for signing these scrubs in the first place.

    Not the league's fault.

    Why couldn't they have done deal tomorrow? Fareid wasn't going to do much more than he has this far and Nunnalys 3 point shot could have been helpful tonight.

    I get that, but that is a situation purely of our own making. It's not as if the FO didn't know the office would be closed on a national holiday. We had the entire season to create space and chose not to. I blame the NBA league office for a lot of things, but it was the Rockets FO that cost Nunnally his roster spot.

    They said on the broadcast that the Rox knew the rules and could have contacted the league office to let them know something was going down, they failed to do that, and they had to release a dude.
