What historical team does our current lineup squad resemble? Do we resemble a team that won a title, or came close to it? Starters: Beverley Harden Ariza Motiejunas Howard Reserves: Smith Brewer Terry Papa Dorsey Caanan Shved Jones(?)
Early 2000 Lakers teams... if Howard somehow turned into Shaq and Harden peaked at Kobe level (I do believe Harden is almost there...stats prove it). Fisher = Bev Fox = Ariza (I'd take Ariza though) Rest of Lakers team is straight garbage.
I've never seen a squad like this since we have: - a PG who cannot pass - a young bearded SG who's the scoring leader - a center who refuses to commit to probably the most dangerous pick and roll option in Rockets 20+ years. - a SF off the bench who smiles all the time, looks like a hyena including the skinny legs, is nicknamed 'The Drunken Dribbler' yet has a last name that loans itself to liquor and alchohol - a 37 year old who can still shoot the way he does and takes off like a aeroplane
That's what I was thinking. It was an interesting mix of players. Basically a 1990's All Star Team with all the old veterans due for immediate retirement. Shaq, Mourning, Worthless Shandon Anderson, Gary Payton, and Derek Anderson. Did not know James Posey was on that squad too. SMH.
