Cubs vs. Pirates 9/26-9/28

    Once again... this game being rained out can only HELP the Astros.

    Now, the Cubs have one less day to rest Prior, and a double-header is taxing on any bullpen.

    Ideal situation (while the Astros are hopefully winning out):

    Cubs play game 1 tommorow, but second one gets rained out.

    Cubs have to play a double-header on Sunday.


    That would spell ultimate doom for the bullpen if there was to be a Monday.

    I resemble that remark, it's 4:21 and I still wouldn't piss on a Cub's fan if he were on fire!!

    Let's see if Sammy and the other bats play 3 games in 2 days. Let's see how much work their relief corps can do.

    Of course, this applies to the Pirates as well...

    Lets have a tripleheader and rain out tomorrow too! Or that might not work out well either considering they'd be able to rest Prior a couple more days as well as Wood.

    I think the Bucs can win one...They are a decent team that has nothing to lose...

    I would rather see a one game playoff...

    Well, I just checked the scoreboard at ESPN.com and it is 6-0 Cubbies in the 7th inning of the 2nd game.

    Looks like the Astros playoff push is over.....
