yeah im trying to avoid getting them from ragin cajun or magnolia as they're probably gonna be pretty pricey.
Here is the link from the same thread last week. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=184361&page=1 I bought 2 bags = 65lbs at L&L Seafood 517 West Mount Houston Road (at 45 North) Houston, TX 77037-1528 (281) 445-0044 They were good size and the bags didn't have any dead in them. They were awesome. Call on Friday to reserve them and they'll let you know the price per pound. They only take cash or checks.
Getting 300lbs for a boil next friday. Getting them from Heberts Hot Tails up in Spring. Link He's cooking them fro $4.50 a lb, don't know what he charges for live ones.
They were $2.25 per pound but they may be cheaper this week. I called the week before and they were $2.75 per pound. Like I said they were all live and all good sized for this early IMO. Season is just now kicking in.
Hired the crew from Atchafalaya Crawfish Catering Co. to work a massive party at UT this past weekend. The bugs were spicy and had a serious Cajun kick. Potatoes, corn, and creole sausage included. Johnney, who runs the show, is easy going and very accommodating. $4.99/lb., and he gets all of his bugs from the Atchafalaya Basin in LA. Here's his site... I highly recommend them for a festival, neighborhood boil, bigger party, or any other get together. http://www.atchafalayacatering.com/
Hey past me stop eating spicy boiled crawfish with your chapped lips you will look like a clown in front of the hot chick you're pretty sure isn't related to you. Now, which button does the time thingy.
