If all you want is to remove AOL from your start menu. Go to the icon, and right click on it, and you should be able click delete or remove from list depending on where it is. Atleast that is how you do it with XP.

To make you feel better, A Mac would run like crap also if you only had 512 meg of RAM.

In regards to buying RAM, just go to crucial.com and put in your system and it will tell exactly what kind of RAM you need. They also offer fair prices on certified memory.

Another thing you should do if haven't already is to download adaware or spybot and remove all your spyware.

I ordered 2gigs of RAM from Newegg.com. It ought to be here in a day or two.

Yeah. That's one of my usual headaches dealing with Windows. I run all that stuff every couple weeks.
