It's makes perfect sense to me. The country is divided. I would expect the nba players to be divided as well. They are non-essential. It's just entertainment. There's no logical reason for an nba player to play. They have money. Why risk your life and health, and the health of your family. For what exactly.

If this is about the riots exclusively, them you set up donations and tv time to the cause. Simple solution.

The superstars and stars have money. The G-Leaguers and no-namers don't. On top of that, a season or two postponed means a year or two of your youth gone, as there's a limited window of time to earn money in basketball (and most sports).

Kyrie and Dwight can literally afford to retire today. Others can't.

Honestly, the POV would be more impactful if a bunch of MLE earners came out in solidarity for the season either starting or being postponed.

14 teams are likely walking away with 55k or less per player. I just don't see why they would do it. That's 150 players making literally nothing to do this. Another 4 teams about 100k per player. There's just no money in it from the perspective of a multi-millionaire. The only reason to do it in my mind is for the title, but we all know that comes down to like 4 teams or less. So for 55k am I going to risk my future earnings to make some nba fans happy for a week, possibly risking future earnings and health, possibly my life, I just can't justify that decision in my head. And we only get one security guard per team.

I can't find any information about compensation and salary for the Disney NBA season. Can you provide links to this info?

For the same reason millions of older and less healthy people are going to restaurants or bars or national parks or any number of other things. It's part of life and many of them likely don't considering them risking their lives or health. And since family can't visit, they aren't really risking that.

Except this year's title is much more of a crapshoot given that many teams will be missing players, out of shape, out of rythym, etc. For a team like the Rockets or Celtics, this is a great opportunity because you have a chance to win a title without being the one of the best few teams.

I think during a lockout, the Knicks went to the Finals as an 8th seed under our own JVG.

    Never say never.

Yea, I haven't read compensation for teams, players, and if the other teams that aren't playing will receive NBA revenue sharing either.

Do players out of the pool get shares of the money from TV revenue?

A lot of the attacks at Kyrie were motivated by people who REALLY want to see the season return. Some of those attacks are not fair.

But he brought it to himself by doing it the wrong way. He used the racial tension as the reason. It was not a good argument and made him look like a hypocrite. He should have just brought up the risk factors and backed it up with some scientific facts. But I guess science is not his strong suit.

Anyway, he is not in a good position to talk about this because he would not be able to play no matter what. He should have just shut up and listened.

so theyre forever changing the schedule of nba if they do this correct?and yes my mind would be ****ing blown if i actually saw basketball playoffs this year. such a bummer for our astros and rockets :( is what it is i guess. Also some player is gonna for sure test postive during this bubble thing, lock that in 100% i wanna know what is the nbas plan when that happens? cant really suffer delays during this bubble thing id imagine? And for the life of me i dont understand why they dont just start the ****ing playoffs, basketball of all sports is one where the best teams win. this aint some wild card baseball ****, or big dick nick getting hot during the playoffs

Now Perkins is crying on TV because KD called him a sellout after he insulted Kyrie’s intelligence. Sometimes people forget that you can disagree with someone and still remain civil.

Perk is an honest person, but was a borderline unwatchable player. That airball jumper was real.

Kyrie and Durant are much better players but questionable personalities.

It'd be funny if they got caught because the whole team were infected.
