Thank GOD there were no viral videos when I was that dumb. I would have probably been multiple epic memes.

Think about how many other “frat boys” or parties said the exact same thing .... there just wasn’t a viral video of them saying it

Owning up is what makes you a better person. A certain someone could learn a thing or two about owning up to their mistakes.

Well, COVID-19 just bent me over. My buddy who I've been helping get back on his feet by letting him live in one of my rent houses just had his kids booted from the daycare that he just got government funding to get them in because the job he just got is 'non-essential'.

Government needs to mandate mortgage payment freezes. If my renters can't pay, I may lose those houses then they will be out on their asses.

I thought I would live forever when I was a teenager, even after nearly being killed by a train when I first got a car. I'll never expect high schoolers and college kids to be thoughtful and considerate, even when facing a pandemic.

what happens to the property if you can’t keep up with your payments ?

you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to , just curious .

I would think that if it was gonna go to a bank or something like that , they might not be focused on evicting people or tearing down buildings .

I feel like maybe not too badly this month , but if it continues without a stimulus by the end of April no doubt many pavement will be missed.

it’s gonna be a messy thing to try and clean up and figure out who gets what and what actions are taken when .

What really needs to happen is the govt and people just need to buy time right now . the constraints against people working and making money aren’t a long-term thing. If everyone stayed inside for a month the disease would kill itself off (at least here) .

The problem is not everyone can shelter in place and packing 500 people into a grocery store isn’t exactly the smartest way to have people shop .

This is great news and totally contradicts fears I shared in one of these other threads about most RNA viruses mutating frequently (like the "common cold").

If I can find that post, I'll update it! Thielen and co. are legit.

    A few options.

I can probably cover the mortgages but income streams are lower due to the virus mania so I would have to get creative.

Obviously I could foreclose but that’s crazy.

I have a lot of equity in each house so I could refi and pull the equity out to cover short term losses. But that goes against my business model of buying junk cheap, rehabbing completely, renting for a couple of years while equity grows then selling before stuff starts to break.

I’m hoping a stimulus comes through soon to help the little people but our prez is all about big biz so we’re probably all screwed.

    Good.

My brother is in a very nice neighborhood in Chicago. Another neighbor decided to let his son throw a party with about 30-40 people. My brother called me concerned. I called my friends the Chief Judge and the DA and that little get together ended with at least 20 arrests for underage drinking and possession of drugs according to the DA.

People are ignorant. We have people in this very thread actually saying “they can’t expect us to not see our family or girlfriend”... at this point make idiots abide.

I think she wants you to click the link and read the WaPo article she posted.
She's WaPo Deputy National Editor, and is merely posting an article from her paper; you know, for clicks.

And, who knows, there might be some quotes from experts in the article. Editors are pretty good at summarizing.

    .
Good job. When most of the population realise that keeping the lockdown is actually about keeping themselves and their own families ALIVE this will become common and you will not even need to be friends with a judge or DA.
Society will be able to take care of it and only the most idiots will need police intervention.

Here passerbys are also start chastising when they see old men going about and "exercising", becoming so annoying that the old people have no choice but to head home asap.
Those people who haven't realised the danger, will not have a moment of peace.

It is a matter of life and death for everyone at this point.

Also Nook go and order an oxymeter. There are many cases in Europe lately where people deterioate very fast and die at home. An oxymeter can help risky groups to know when exactly it is time to go to hospital immediately. I have made my parents get one too. Buy now before it becomes widespread in teh US too and you can't find one.

Just wanted to bring to everybody’s attention, I know we’re hearing a lot about hydroxychloroquine etc for this but it is unproven, in fact it’s more anecdotal than anything else. I think that’s fine, because when you’re grasping for straws you need to figure out whatever may* work. However, due to the craze (like over TP and everything else in society today) these meds are on shortage and critical for people with lupus and other autoimmune diseases. Those diseases kill, if you remember McHale’s daughter. Be judicious about the info you spread, I hear false things from my parents everyday that I have to correct.

I hope she survives. Once everyone's dead, her and I will repopulate the earth. Not because I want to, but because I have to.
    You're welcome.
