Problem with Gordon is he makes around $5-6 million. He want $13-$15 million. Zeke is the ONLY RB in the league worth that. Maybe Kamara. Gordon turned down $10 million from the Chargers.
texans make the most sense imo. picks are worthless to us at this point even firsts. we have the cap space, and could use a true workhorse RB.
No way are they getting that for a RB. Probably hopping someone meets them halfway for a 2nd. Still too much for him.
Man, JR... it probably isn't said enough how remarkable your quick fingers are when it comes to news items. Like... I can't wrap my head around how you do it. But mad props - invaluable part of what makes this forum so great.
The Texans would be foolish to chase Melvin Gordon and throw away more assets.... SAYS SOMEONE LAME! At this point, after this weekend: F IT! Go big or go home, Texans! This franchise has had stretches of being very good; they have a terrific nucleus of not just great players but (seemingly) great people... but they've NEVER been *interesting* in a way that excites you beyond the won/loss record. So I say YES to Melvin Gordon. It is remarkably stupid and irresponsible - but that ship has sailed. This is me right now:
If we can steal Gordon for a 3rd and semi decent player then maybe the Clowney deal won't look so bad. A couple of weeks ago a Clowney for Gordon straight up swap made no sense to me but given the return we got for Clowney, a Gordon for Clowney swap would have looked pretty good about now.
His line last year was very good (5.1 YPA; 10 TDs). Also - F IT! Go big or go home. LET'S GET EVERYBODY!
