If the Texans are a perennial contender that always come up just short of winning the Super Bowl every year, with a superb GM running the team who understands value and teambuilding, I would agree with your sentiment. But instead they are a team fully dependent on a QB that keeps getting killed and once again look to have a pretty crappy offensive line next year, so why not?
I expect no trade to b made since we dont have a gm. BOB not gonna put himself into the spotlight making a trade that could end horribly.
Here's what I'm envisioning our front office pulling off: Texans receive Melvin Gordon, box of cinnamon Mentos Chargers receive Deshaun Watson, JJ Watt, Deandre Hopkins Get er done, BoB!
They should.....but they won’t. After all, we have Carlos Hyde in the fold that....no exaggeration....four franchises have tried then passed on in a matter of months over less than two full calendar years
This team is so bad at drafting and has so much cap space because our starting QB is on a rookie deal, I have no problem flipping another few mid-round picks for at least one year of a top 10 RB, especially now that our OL has improved. And if BOB is going to continue to run the ball on 2 and 8, we might as well have someone who'll pick up more than 2.5 yards per attempt.
BoB needs to be put in Trade Timeout before he continues this drunken shopping spree! Given what we traded to get Duke Johnson (and Tunsil, and to get rid of Clowney), I'm afraid of what we might offer for Melvin Gordon. I say this despite being a big Melvin Gordon fan.
Do it. Your draft capital is already depleted the next two years so why not go all in and finish off next year's 2nd round pick that you didn't deal?
Don’t we get two 3rd round compensatory picks (Mathieu & Kareem) Of course one goes to Cleveland because of duke
