Wesley seems to be struggling and with Tmac having back issuses, would you give Tor a future first and DWes for Mo Pete? Tor is rebuilding and DWes is an expiring contract and they can use the extra pick to move up in the draft if desired.

If they'd take that, and I think that's a BIG if, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I'd do it. But I'd rather have something like Miles and Jack for Head, Norris, and Wesley. No telling what fire sale is gonna present itself at the deadline.

how about D wes for MJ?

with TMAC off the court, we could use MJ's ball hogging now. ;)

Enough trading, we need to win with our current squad.

Babcock is probably the only GM in the league that would actually do that trade, with that being said, it would be a terrible deal for the Raps.

definitly, Mo Pete is starting to get some time to shine in TO now that Vince is gone so we should try a deal before he becomes an NBA star! plus the Raptors really need to rebuild their team again...

JVG says we need an edge. mo pete is a very soft player.

gundy thinks wesley is our best wing defender. he will not trade that for a guy who can't guard anyone.

good trade talent wise, but i doubt JVG would do it.

that would be stupid of the raps to trade mo for wes. Mo is playing really good to start the season, better than i have seen in recent years. he seems to be healthy and back to his normal form. wes is on his way out. Mo still has some solid years ahead of him. plus thats the only other player on that team that can do any damage besides bosh.

We would be hard pressed to get Mo Pete's used underwear for Wesley right now, the way wesley has been playing. Frankly, that underwear would be more efficient at keeping opponents away from the lane, than Wesley has been..

I was actually thinking the Raps would want the cap space from Wesley's expiring contract and the pick. Even though our pick will be low it can be packaged to move up, or may have value by itself if the draft is as deep as the past one.

any NORMAL, SMART GM would say HELL NO!! to that proposition. look at age and performance, especially this season and last season....the proposition is laughable. but this is rob babcock we're talking about, he traded vince carter for a sack of peanuts and a six pack of beer. we should trade david wesley and moochie norris for chris bosh while we are at it.

MoPete is one of the Raps few valuable trading pieces, but there's no way they take Wesley for him, even with a late pick as sweetener.

Mo is one of the team's better defenders and is a good value as a sometimes starter / key reserve. The only way he's traded is for another player his age r younger that can be a key contributor for several years.

That said... what about taking back Mike James & Matt Bonner -for- David Wesley & Jon Barry?

Salaries are almost bang on, and I have to think the Rox could use a backup 4 who can come in and shoot from outside, helping to spread the floor somewhat. He's a much better shooter than Bowen or Baxter and makes about $2 mil per for this year and next.
