He says he hasn't run or trained though, so he would probably be huffing and puffing and getting oxygen after a few plays running to catch a ball.

He’d need a Full Offseason to have a shot at being effective. Otherwise I think he’d just get injured before he’d accomplish anything

I’m leaning more towards a desire to coach with Demeco. A DLine coach for WA/Greenard and some high draft DT’s?? Nice.

I think he'd love to return, but I don't think it's truly physically possible for him. He did have a great final season....but it's also important to remember than he only had 2 healthy seasons in his final 7...

Would I bet against him? No way, but I still don't think a successful comeback is that likely.

He's better off just enjoying retirement and his family.

This just got real. Chances went from <10% to 50% with the need for another DE to the rotation.

This would be a bonus for the team and fandom this year. A return by JJ Watt is a massive Texans PR move, but would also mean a lot to Watt, Demeco, the DL/Defense. If JJ can play 10-15 plays a game and help mentor the DL, he becomes to the defense what Case K has been to the offense, but on steroids.

I know expectations should be low, but I'd never bet against JJ.

If he did unretire, how would that work with him still having a contract with Arizona still in place?

He signed a 2 year contract in 2021 covering 2021 and 2022. He has no remaining contract obligation to Arizona or anyone else for that matter.

Oh dang, I looked up sportstrac and saw his signing bonuses and thought they were his salaries.

The man is about to play some more football.

There was a signing bonus and he earned a performance bonus for his play in 2022.

There was every opportunity for JJ to simply say I’m retired I’m not coming back…but he didnt…so either he’s coming back or that dude really loves himself some attention…

Maybe JJ is gonna do what Suh does . Skip the regular season and sign with whatever playoff team has injuries and needs him. Rinse/repeat next year

There is a discrepancy on the reporting of the dates covered by JJs 2 year contract. Some report 21 as a continuation and the 2 years as 22 and 23 while others report the 2 years covering 21 and 22. I'm sure the people who need to know already do.

He could probably play tight end. He’s played a few downs at that position in the past. He’s a big target for CJ. And you know he could block.

I'd rather watch JJ kick Pat McAfee's ass.

Could someone explain why he has that human manikin on camera on his program? I've never seen a movement or heard a whisper from him.
