It ain't great, but it's about on par with your average Big 12 MBB OOC schedule (two notables and a bunch of filler). FWIW, the Charleston Classic includes LSU, St Johns, Utah, Wake Forest, and Dayton (don't laugh, they usually rattle off 20-25 wins) so that should include at least one or two quality games.
i really hope we get a game with Rick Pitino and St. Johns. They're supposed to have a huge year coming up and he revamped their roster big time already to be one of the top teams in the nation
Not surprising, but UH beaten soundly by Australian National Team, which has 10 NBA players. ttps://www.houstonchronicle.com/texas-sports-nation/college/article/houston-basketball-australian-national-team-18286437.php
That team is "stacked". They're the #3-ranked team in the FIBA rankings. I think they're playing a couple more Australian teams after that game, too, aren't they?
According to the article - "UH will close out the trip with games against the Frankston Blues from the NBL1 South on Saturday (4 a.m. CDT) and Sunday against the Australia Select Team (3 a.m. CDT) in Melbourne."
Xavier and Aggy vs. UConn/Indy/Louisville (they'll play 2), Marquette and LSU So it's twice as tougher.
no where near twice as tough. definitely not. LSU is absolute trash. both have a Big E matchup. A&M is significantly better than LSU. They will also likely meet St. Johns who will be one of the top teams in the country. easily a top 25 team.
(1) Jon Rothstein on Twitter: "Always take stats from foreign tours with a grain of salt, but this stands out: Through three games in Australia, Emanuel Sharp is Houston's second-leading scorer, averaging 15 PPG. LOVED what he showed last season as a freshman. An "under-the-radar" breakout guy to monitor." / X
So far in his UH career Sharpe is Vernon Maxwell like streaky. He could go 0-10 then hit 15 straight. I watched the game this morning and Tugler is a CKS type dude.
