Mark leaving UH and Hunter leaving UT makes no sense at all.

It's their team next year, how or why do they think they'll end up in a better situation?

Grass is greener elsewhere syndrome. Speaking of grass is greener, there is also some chatter Caleb Mills possible return to UH.

I am not going to overreact to this but its been evident the last 2 runs that we need better shooting. Thats reason #1 we aren't playing today and why we lost last year as well.

Bigger roles or opportunities for more shots. Mark is likely hoping to score over 20 a night and get drafted in the first round or play a long time overseas.

All of that is literally what’s in store for mark next year. He would be UH’s top option. This makes no sense for him to transfer.

It is what it is. UH will reload

    Yeah, total head-scratcher.

These dudes get bad advice sometimes.

Or maybe he knows something we don't about a shooting guard coming in.

If he's chasing money I will never, ever blame him... but next year was shaping up to be his epic launching pad to a fat NBA payday.

He's not going to get even the faintest sniff in the NBA draft, so best of luck to him at his next program.

I wonder if Sampson’s coaching style was getting to him. Some of those guys can’t deal with getting cussed out

Yup, it should be his time to take on a big role on offense, but we have seen this before. My guess is he believes he can find a place where he gets an even bigger load. It doesn’t always work out that way though, Caleb Mills felt he was going to become a 20+ point a game scorer too when he left for FSU and it didn’t work out.

There are other options on the team that are as talented and may be ready to take the load. I’m sure Sampson will look hard at the transfer portal again.

    32 % FG 30% FROM 3 doesn't exactly scream NBA to me.

Posted this back in December. Even though they hit a tough patch in January, they were the team all season I feared the most.

This guy would be PERFECT for UH, I think. I got texts from guys I went to Baylor with about this yesterday. Honestly, Baylor needed some guards who take it to the rim and play defense...Cryer doesn't do those things...but he can flat out shoot, and I think he'd be a good addition to UH's squad!

Someone told me that Cryer is going to transfer to UH. He would know, but he is the only one that has said this - so I have been apprehensive about saying to much. Having said that, I do believe him that Cryer will be in Houston next year and likely two other transfers as well. There is a solid chance one of the players from Tulane will also be in Houston.

Baylor needs to move on from Cryer, and he needs to move on as well - Cryer will allow UH to stretch the defense with his shooting, but there are some defensive questions.

People can flame me - I am only repeating what I have been told, and what I believe to be true.
