Brewer was playing for contract only. Now that he got paid he doesn't care about playing anymore. What a selfish ass hole.

They are using him as a defensive specialist. Just hoping he will turn it around come to the playoff time.

To his defense, he is not a good shooter to begin with and he plays most of the time without Harden. Defensively, he is very engaged and often makes plays. Offensively, occasionally he will provide a spark. His shooting is just off and hopefully he will turn it around come playoff.

I haven't seen Brewer lose a game for us yet. I've seen him make clutch shots though.

its crazy, because people within the Rockets organization do read clutch fans. Matt, Bill, & Clyde do make some comments hinting about people like Dekker not getting as many minutes. I seriously think i could shoot a better 3pt fg% than brewer. Shoot pay me 100k a year to play basketball and id be glad to park in the corner and shoot 3's. I promise i could shoot a better % than brewer.

His main skill is falling in distorted ways and not get hurt. Let's see you do that.

yeah but his intangibles are where his value comes in.

    - makes games unnecessarily closer
    - takes minutes away from dekker and kj, players we need to develop
    - clogs the paint by standing at the 3pt line
    - eats up 7-8m per of cap space, preventing us from signing anyone useful
    - puts his head down and runs into 3-5 defenders, hoping for an and1 that he never gets
    - gambles on defense every change he gets
    - has raw sewage spurting out of his ass, sogging up the floor boards

    Not a fan of Corey...

but I'll give him credit for always being upbeat, positive and willing to try to do anything asked of him...

with all the crappy attitudes and personal agendas that exist among many athletes in sports in general, the NBA in particular, and especially on our team over the last couple years.... that's something.... I'd like something more... but it's something...

I feel like the Rockets are not playing at a fast enough pace for Brewer to shine. Brewer is not a half court player, he is someone that is very good at running the court and finishing at full speed. His defense is nothing to write home about but he is pretty good at generating steals leading to fast breaks.

I am not sure if D'Antoni has any plans to up the team's pace for the rest of the season, but if the team does have plans to play faster then Brewer will be the first and biggest beneficiary of it. I think D'Antoni also recognizes this which is why Brewer is still getting minutes (albeit he is getting progressively fewer minutes).

That being said, I do want to see all of Brewer's minutes going over to Sam Dekker in the future. I think D'Antoni's approach with the younger players so far is pretty solid, so I won't complain.

He aint talking about them percentages he talkin bout feelin good

"I'm feeling good," Brewer said. "The last few games, the last five or six games, I've been feeling real good. I knew it would come."

I supported Brewer after his decent start, but besides energy he is outliving his usefulness on the court for the Rockets. Even his steal rate is lowest of career which is supposed to be his strength. Can say that means less gambling but he has a high foul rate too meaning he's just hacking on the gambles now. Though KJ has been a mopey punk and probably wont be here longer, he should have been playing over Brewer

Believe it or not, Brewer is shooting not just BEST of his career but GREAT in 2 point range this season. AND he's turning it over the LEAST of his career lol. Gotta balance it out somehow...

Take away the threes and thats 43.7%, which is tolerable enough

So why are HALF his attempts 3 pointers? It doesn't matter if half are end of clock bailouts, he's the wrongest guy for that kind of shooting split. At least he only takes 3 total shots a game so its minimized effect.

Being a fellow Gator, I feel bad for Brewer (however, the nickname Sewer, funny as ish)! Dude has zero confidence on any shot that he is taking. His only role is to spell Trevor and give him a 12 to 15 minute break. I'm hopeful he breaks out of it, but his killing us on the offensive end.

I'm dreaming of trading for Chandler Wilson (no to Rudy Gay) for Brewer and maybe Dekker.

Nah...it isn't tolerable. That 2FG% is 13th worst in the NBA, right now.

He's 58.5% for the year from 2. 48% for his career. So, he's probably over 60% for the other games. I'm assuming most are drives/layups.While his 58% for 2s for the year is good/great, I was just making fun of his statement about recent games, which I assume was about his 3s most likely. Probably an older quote a few games after Bev came back.

So, for the last 9 games, why are over 1/2 his shots 3s, and why is % on 2s so bad? Anyhoot....I'm not really looking for a response, just making fun of his statement.

Still like the defense this year.

I'd love Wilson Chandler (not sure why you flip flopped his name). It's a shame to see him playing the best basketball of his career on the awful Nuggets.
