So last night my modem went all red for 5 minutes and then came back on. I have 6 devices. All 5 came back on except my desktop, which is necessary for work. I restarted everything unplugged everything. Moved my WiFi input. Nothing got it back online. Called ATT technical support and after an hour the best they could come up with was sending a new WiFi unit... Any idea what happened and how I can fix it???
Does your computer see your wifi network? First, if so, have it 'forget' the network and then try and reconnect.
"I use charcoal briquettes lit by magnifying glass and use my own dried poop for fuel. It all runs on Linux."
In troubleshooting it says I don’t have a valid ip configuration. Googled it and tried nine of the ten with no success. Now doing a network reset. If that doesn’t work I will try this.
Nope. Secured. Can’t connect to this network. And it recognizes my WiFi and the router is working with all of my other devices. This is frustrating as hell.
So I I got reconnected after resetting my TCP/IP thing. That got me back online, but a lot of websites including this one are not able to be connected. What the ****?
Just did everyone of these options. This is insane. https://helpdeskgeek.com/networking/how-to-fix-cannot-renew-ip-address-in-windows/
You might need a new router. I replaced mine when there were too many devices connected to the house. 1 phone/ 1 tablet / 1 pc per person Couple of tv devices Ring Printer Any other gadget like alexa... Imagine your wifi router as an air traffic controller
Yeah, but I got the computer back online only to now have tons of websites saying I have no access. Including this one. This is maddening. I'm sure one of the solutions to get this online screwed up my website access.
