Are they going to update their site for the new speeds? I'm ready to change from Uverse slow ass DSL to Comcast internet, but I only see 25, 50 and 105.

Seems legit, here's my results when hard wired to the modem. I live out in NE Harris county in the Crosby area. If I can get these speeds out here, than it's no doubt city wide.

But now my wireless router won't connect to the web since I've reset the modem. Anyone know what could cause this? Did teh speeds break-tid my routerz?

Try shutting everything down again (pull power and cable from modem; power from router) and restart everything. When I first rebooted the modem I couldn't connect to the internet (neither wired nor wireless). The second time was the charm.

Assuming, of course, your router is DOCSIS 3.0

    Holy crap!

This is direct wired to the router though. On wireless I'm getting closer to 50. Really need to upgrade to an 802.11ac router to get close to those speeds though.

Think you need a 5hz router to get the higher speeds. I have an Apple Airport Express and had to enable the 5hz wireless signal to get the higher speeds.

I got bumped up from 25 to 50+. Pretty freakin sweet. Almost wished I would've went with 50 to start with to get over 100. That's crazy!

It should apply to you if your Comcast branch's main office is Houston.

I live right outside the Clute/Lake Jackson area (about 45/50 miles south of Houston) and my speeds went up about two days ago as well.

    My wired connection is:

    and my wireless is:

    Lol.

I used to live in that area.

I was wondering if it applies in that neighborhood as well since my mom uses Comcast too.

    Thanks!

I don't know about the 5hz, but anybody in this thread that has a Docsis 2.0 modem will not be able to get higher speeds. If you have Docsis 2.0 then its time to switch out for a Docsis 3.0 modem because a Docsis 2.0 modem caps out at around 21-25 mbps down.

Actually, mine was supposed to be 50 but it was 17....I got an email that it is supposed to be 105 now. That was wireless. I will reset again when I get home. I don't want another $50 tech call that leads to my apartment getting broken into again......

I had the same problem a while back, not the break in but the slow speeds. If you go into your router settings and change the channel the router is on, that should fix it for you. Just google how to do it for your specific router.
