Dude! Repped. I already had the 105/20 service but I called in anyway and told them why aren't I getting a promotional deal when others are getting free upgrades? Their response, they're going to charge me the rate of "Blast" which drops my Internet bill by around $40.

Also to note, I'm not a "double play" customer. I just have Internet through them, and TV through DirecTV.

Yea, it was easy as heck calling them up and getting the deal.

I was paying $68 for just internet for the past few months. Upgraded to Blast and Basic Cable and my price dropped to $50 a month. And now essentially I get Extreme internet for the same $50 per month.

Glad I invested in that Docsis 3 modem.

    Easy as pie.

For those who don't have blast it's $10 extra.

Basic cable is garbage though. No HD and no CSNHouston. I'm paying $140 total after taxes and fees now for 105mbp Internet and the Digital preferred with HD on 3 TVs. I get most of the channels minus HBO, SHO.

Waaaay better than U-Verse and no contract. I guess if I got a contract it would save me $20 a month.

I just signed up, however, my old moderm is docsis 2.0 and not 3.0, so I won't be able to get the speed upgrade til I upgrade my modem.

The modem is cheap on amazon. Usually $80 but I'd buy it right away with all these upgrades coming. I now need a $100 router.

Been using the 105/20 service for a while, no need for a 100 dollar router. Depending on the wireless nic's of your devices, the most you'll see is 80mbps (on my laptops wireless) but wired I'm hitting 137 at times.

    I use this

Well, it's 90 dollars so i guess i might as well call it a $100 router lol

I called in and they gave me the offer, but I'm really looking to sign a contract and pay less for the same package I currently have (Blast Plus 50/10 and Economy internet). I was just on a promotion where both ran me about $60 w/ tax.

I honestly have no need for that ridiculous bandwidth lol

Hmm, I called and they would do the upgrade of service at no additional monthly charge, but said it cost $249 to have it installed... that it was a big install. Didn't seem right to me -- anyone else getting that?

They told me the install is only if your modem isn't compatible. Since I have a DOCSIS 3.0 modem I didn't have to do anything.
