Best thing to come out of this game? Both sides are riled up again. It seems the Rivalry has been brought back to life? I hope....

As I said in the other post, this is all in fun man. You don't have to change your signature.

Ha! You make fun of the "fruit" in Jackfruit and you're a Texas guy.

That's funny. We're not the people with the "fruits" on our campus. ;)

I thought you would at least be man enough to post the signature without a knock on me or my moniker. But that's okay.

You know, that's one thing that A&M has improved on the last 8 years. Being the much traveled man that I am, I've met and befriended many great gay people over the years. And it was really disappointing to see so much open gay bashing around A&M when I first got here. Everybody gay bashes in most places, I know, but it's usually P.C. not to. And that's a good thing in my opinion. There's good natured gay bashing, and then there's blatant hate filled gay-bashing. And so there was way too much of the 2nd kind in my opinion. So at least the administration is stepping up to plate and so are some businesses around the area. Not saying that gay people still don't get beat up and hated on in public around here (which is still sad), but it's just not as much as it used to be.

But back to the rivalry. Woohoo. Thank goodness it's back on. As someone who lived in Austin every summer from 94-98 and knew more UT students and profs than most any other non-UT student, I took a real liking to that school. I chose A&M because it was closer to home. And still having many connections to UT, it's just great having a winning team again. Aggies have suffered for a long time without a really good football team since like 98. So if any fans do deserve it, it's the Aggies. I remember a thread here back in like 2001 where we all debated whose fans were crazier and more dedicated. Good times. Good luck in the bowls to all sides.

I wasn't the one that the made the reference at first. You might want to tell your fellow Longhorn that made the statement, which merited my response. My comments came only after he referred to my moniker as Jack "Fruit" .

You might also want to tell your fellow Longhorn who said that we molest sheep. I'm sure that statement was full of class.

So you think out of Texas and A&M, A&M is the gay campus?

I wouldn't refer to either school as "the gay campus." I'm sure in both cases the gay students are the minority.

You do yourself a disservice however if you believe there aren't any at A&M. I met a handful while I was there.

But Thank God there are enlightened people like you to show us the way. And thanks for the being the authority on granting flagship institutionships, maybe us Aggies can submit the application on behalf of our beloved University to such a prestigious person such as yourself.

    No you're not.

You added something to your signature that Jackfruit didn't stipulate.

Disagree. After reading nearly all of these entertaining posts, it would seem the Horn fans seem to be much more vindictive than the Aggie fans in this thread. Go ahead, review all the posts and you will see what I mean.

I think the horn hatred is best summed up by King of 40 Acres' post (#241) in this thread. He has really disgraced his fellow longhorn fans in here with that kind of crap. The Aggie responses to him have been much more civil and he in fact deserves the scorn of Aggie and Horn fans alike.

Look, I rooted for texas last year in the championship game, in fact I root for texas against every team they play except for the Aggies.

I also have posted in the past on my admiration for the VY, Colt McCoy, and Coach Mack Brown.

But at the least, Aggie Fans should have cause to celebrate and that is what they are doing in this thread, especially all the bandwagon horn fans that piped up in the beginning of this thread.
