These polls are always skewed, a lot of the people vote U of H just because its the default city school, but honestly coundn't name 5 guys on the squad. The Aggies and Longhorns clearly dominate the market, its shows in ratings and attendance to their local games. Kind of a toss up between these two, aggies have just as many loyal fans as the Longhorns. Texas has more crossover appeal to the casual fans, the T-Shirt fans if you will, so Texas pulls more weight. I'm a Longhorn fan, but I always want Houston and Rice to do well being the local schools.
Given that there's two tiers in college football, the "tier 1" team is A&M, with UT-Austin branch a close second. Then LSU. In tier 2, the city supports the Owls -- they've taken 2 of the last 3 from the Coogs and this city likes a winner
Sometimes, I wonder if you actually believe the things you write. The Owls are not winners; they are 18-25 since 2008.
Im guessing Prairie View and TSU would be placed somewhere in between Katy High School and HBU..... smh
