Well, considering he was DNP-CD the last 3 games, he can't get less playing time.

Anyone know what is wrong with Lowry? He looks soooo slow, and is shooting .27% over the last 5 games.

I would like to think it is that he is tired, but I think it is that he has faced some fast point guards and is having trouble keeping up with their speed.

It makes sense not to amnesty him, they would still have to pay for him to do absolutely nothing for them. He atleast contributes a bit for them.

 

During the 3rd quarter Clyde mentioned something about him not being confident because he's 3-21 in PnR situations in last few games.

 

He's faced fast point guards all season. Its fatigue, IMO.

That said, I thought he was fantastic in the second half even with his shot not falling. He had an all-around impact on the game on both ends of the floor. Only credited with 3 steals, but he caused at least 4 or 5 other turnovers.

 

I get the tired thing a little bit but he is not playing 40+ minutes a game, to me it looks more like confidence.

He is shooting Rafer Alston like numbers in the last 6ish games....and he is hesitating on every shot.

I want the confident Lowry back....STAT !

As much as I like Lowry, Dragic is quicker and the better defender IMO.

 

Well for 2moro knicks looked really tired they shot 42 threes!! making 18 of em they only made 11 2 pts shots they were terrible they also have a long trip to make i hope we take care of business also douglas looked to have an injured shoulder . 12-8 here we come

 

Lowry is a better player though, and I agree, Lowry's defense is really overated, he is a bulldog but is not that quick laterally, guys blow by him pretty easily.

Lowry's playing close to 40 minutes a game, in a compressed schedule, and he plays hard. There aren't many backcourt players who expend as much energy as he does. He also had some foot issues earlier in the season -- maybe its not totally 100%.

I think its all taking a toll.

 

agree ++ time will tell .. 2yrs to early to tell but overall Dragic is a better athlete and will probably make more of an impact on a real team.. ,my take> but that was said by Alvin Gentry "best athlete on the team" when he was on PHX

 

All true, and if he is still hurting, we need to get him some rest.
