KD unlikely to play, worriers depth got shorter. We must attack curry relentlessly, expose him and get him into foul trouble. Shut down Klay. Rebound. Hustle. And WIN!

    marc davis probably shows up

capela may not have enough time between games to complete his testosterone replacement therapy course

we could have used faried, where the F is he?

we could have used a CP3 who doesn't suck ass, where the F is he?

we could have used a coach with a fuking brain, where the F is he?

harden needs to wake the F up. was terrible on perimeter closeouts all game and was chillin near the halfcourt line half of our 4th Q possessions WTF

Idk, silver may want to give KD time to heal.....
It’s up to the Rockets not to allow that to happen....

That won't happen again. Game 5 of that series, Harden was terrible down the stretch and I think was completely drained physically and emotionally. I'm sure he's tired now as well, but he's been solid this series and this Game 5 was a team effort in underachieving and being outplayed by a more desperate, hungrier team. I think that gets corrected tomorrow night.

CP3, Gordon, Capela, and Rivers all shot horribly in Game 5. There's no way they all play that badly again at home, especially against a Durant-less Warriors in an elimination game. I also expect them to be less careless with the ball(15 turnovers in Game 5).

This is not just a literal must win since they're down 3-2. It's also a must win in that they would never hear the end of it if they coughed this one up. It would negate all that talk about the Rockets losing last year only because CP3 went down(and Scott Foster swallowed his whistle). And it would cement Harden and CP3 as playoff chokers.

No excuses. Get this win(and preferably by double figures).

GSW actually played better after KD went out so we have our work cut out for us. We let one get away last night that we worked our ass off to get back in position to win. That being said we are in the exact same position they were in last year down 3 games to 2 needing a win at home in game 6 and a close out win in game 7 on the road. Nothing would be sweeter than to close out GSW in game 7 at Oracle. Harden is going to have to step up in crunch time and not be a non factor like he was last night in the 4th quarter. He is the leader of the team and it would be a mistake for us to rely on either CP3 or Gordon to lead us over the finish line. This series as it stands now is on Harden. We can do this but we have to play smart, defend better, win the battle of the boards, out hustle them, stay focused. Plain and simple we have to want this more than they do. Let's close this thing out so that we don't have to spend the off season wondering what happened while others are gushing over Curry, Thompson, and Donkey and how great they are. That is what we have to look forward to it we don't come back and win this series.

Golden State played more inspired and desperate, but that's not sustainable for 48 minutes. Unless they get unexpected contributions from their bench, Curry and Thompson will have to play nearly 45 minutes a game and both shoot lights out for the Warriors to advance. Iggy and Draymond could each drop 15 points, but ultimately they're relying on two playmakers and shooters to carry them to the next round. And worst of all, without Durant, there's also a heavier burden on Thompson at the defensive end. He'll have to check Harden even more.

The one area the Rockets could blow this(aside from simply shooting like crap and being careless with the ball) is that the Warriors will shoot more threes which will mean more long rebounds. The most important thing in Games 6 and 7 will be securing the defensive boards. It killed them down the stretch in Game 5.

Have to show we can adjust, need to get some bench minutes again and attack Curry and Klay relentlessly. Double team them on defense and Harden and Gordon in attack mode on offense. Has to be a solid lead from the get go and maybe a blow out, not sure because it could break the Warriors' spirit but also make us think we can easily beat them in game 7.

I actually like our chances in a game 7. The problem is, can we get to a game 7. Maybe it’s because of the nightmares of game 6 two years ago, but I’m really nervous about this game. They absolutely can beat us without KD.

Should be an interesting game. Harden, Paul, and MDA will forever be a laughingstock if they can't win this game. Home game, Durant out, elimination game. This is a game that everyone will be expecting the Rockets to win. Let's see what Harden, Paul, and MDA are made of.

We wanted to run it back.

Well, this is it. KD is unlikely to play, it’s almost the exact same scenario as last year. The Warriors took advantage, will we? The warriors have championship mentality and heart. Do we?

If we lose this game, that cements the Rockets place as a “2nd best team” that simply couldn’t get over the hump against the Warriors over the last few years. Even with opportunities. Also, probably further cements the media and other fans opinion of Harden and CP3 as chokers.

Run it back... well, if we lose it again this year, what will we say next year? The same? This is it. Do your job

    Two things:

    1) This will not be Game 6 from 2 years ago. Ok, maybe Curry and Thompson make 15 threes between the two of them and just kill us offensively. Anything's possible with shooters that talented. But Harden is not gonna no show. Neither will any other Rocket(well, maybe Capela).

    2) The first half and especially the first quarter will be pivotal. The Rockets MUST get off to a good start. With the Warriors' death lineup no longer available, they immediately have an advantage they didn't have in Games 1-5. Build a double digit lead like they did in Games 3 and 4 and they'll pull away in the second half, cuz the Warriors no longer have Durant who was the one who brought them back in both of those games.

Did you even watch the game he came off a pick and they doubled/trapped him every time to get ball out of his hands. He made the right play no one else on the team stepped up.

So they are back to being the team that won 73 games. Rockets have had better success when KD plays than without. Their only regular season loss vs. the Warriors was when KD didn't play. They have had more playoff wins in the KD era than before. When KD is in, Curry and Thompson take a backseat so much so that that it has seemed to impact their shooting percentages and overall game. They will take a lot more 3's with KD out and they are a superior 3 point shooting percentage team than the Rockets. KD being out isn't an advantage.

Doesn't feel like a win. Blew a golden opportunity in game 5. Now we will lose game 6. Just like the infamous Spurs series.
