ClutchFans Game Thread: Timberwolves @ Rockets 1/18/2018

Could be a lot of factors man, who know if ariza(been playing more 40 min as a supporting role) and green (been chucking and not making 3s as of late) plays we lose.
With them both playing luc mbah moute might not get min like he did tonite, great timing on all his 3s and the dagger one with 33 sec to go

 

Great to see James Harden back, and great to see us win.

Nice to finally see a good defensive effort for the first time in awhile. Good and much needed win.

 

Good team defense is a product of the same guys being on the court together game after game.

 

Yeah, it can't be understated how special his ability to pass the ball is...a couple of those passes your auto-reaction was just wtf that was a silly pass but then your post-knee-jerk thought is that's a difficult pass and he normally puts it right on the money. We take for granted how gifted he is because we see it so very often. He makes the difficult look mundane.

 

First game in awhile the Rockets were playing some damn good defense. I pray they bring that versus the Warriors.

 

Let's not make excuses, obviously if you are shuffling guys in and out your defense is going to suffer a bit, but we flat out didn't play hard on defense for several weeks. Ariza, one of our best defenders and highest mpg guys was out today and we still had good effort defensively.

 

Odd.... the defense got better when Harden/CP3 and Luc are somewhat healthy and on the floor......

 

Oddly enough...I thought that was maybe Harden's best defensive game of the season. Maybe his worst offensive game too, but the defense was very nice.

Luc...enough said. Dude is a stud.

I was actually impressed with harden on offense, no forcing the issue waiting for the game to come to him even the turnovers he had werent looking terrible and were in the flow of the game

 

thibs is exaclty why i posted in another thread that i'm not worried about minny. them boys will be dead by the time playoffs start.

 

Let's hope that continues on Saturday
