Old age. Did an excellent job in his limited minutes.

 

Bad for his standards (which he set in Year 3) and for what this team needs. He hasnt progressed from Year 3. If this is what he is then we need to move on from him. I was expecting progression not stagnation. He's a great floor raiser but is capped vs the better teams. Though he does match up decently vs the twigs (Wemby and Chet).

His Make a Wish All Stars because people backed out don't exactly move the needle for me. He has a big test coming up this Saturday. Lets hope he's up for it.

 

every time i hear the "by yourself" call out. i cringe and wince because it's such a loooong call out.

how have nba teams not evolve this callout to something else like "free", "clear", or "solo"

when you call out screens, it's either "left" or "right". if there are backdoor cuts you just call out "backdoor". you call out "wing" to cover the wings. "key" for top of the key.

"by yourself" is such a cave man call out.

Aaahh, well, next time get on the all-star committee so you can deny his replacement status bud. In the meantime, people who know the game well enough to make a living, selected Alpi as the all-star replacement so good luck raging against the machine.

Now, regarding this "bad for his standards".... he still is 2nd in points, 1st in rebounds, 1st in assists, 1st in blocks, tied for 3rd in steals. Honestly, even Jokic, a true HOF and 3 time MVP, whom Alpi is never likely to catch, had his stats jump in season six, when he turned 25. Alpi is only 23 and is still in the middle of his 5th season, yet has comparable stats to a young Jokic who also had some minor statistical variance as a young player.

Perhaps, since he has yet to hit his prime years, you just don't like him, and are just simply rationalizing your dislike for him into "bad year".

 

Too much bickering about Goon and Amen. Neither one of them deserved to make the all star game - but both are really good players.

Enjoy the win and growth of the point guard before he is sent to the bench.

Grateful we aren’t the Wizards because they never do anything right.

There was a dunk, a flopping free throw, and a buzzer three all in the last 30 seconds that made the game look closer than it was.

This team can't seriously believe that they can compete for even a first round playoff win with Durant having 6 TOs and Sengun 8 against the Wizards, can they?

 

As much as we cry about the team…we can go toe to toe with anyone except OKC.

The best take away from this game is Reed is now good enough to be the pg. People keep saying he cant be the pg but the dude just had 10 ast to 3 TO while also putting up 19/7/10/6. His statline is something FVV never had in the 2 yrs he has played here. Just continue investing in Reed and he'll be ready by playoffs.

If I had complete control over the Rockets Reed should start and Amen should return to 6th man role when Jabari comes back. KD and Sengun are cooking when surrounded by shooters.

 

3rd in the West because of their 15-5 start. 23-17 since and can't play the 4th quarter without giving the ball up in crunch time.

 

Its an 82 game season you need ask other teams why didnt they have a 15-5 start.
