    I mean that's what the coaches back then were saying right? That's why they did it for so long even if no one really proved it works. But I don't think I've ever seen a cold player heat up because he made a shot off a dead ball. And I've never seen a hot player cool down because they goaltended his. And now I dont even think its coached anymore so the coaches probably don't think so either.
