    As rockets fans, it really bothers me that we committed tanking for years and never got our guy because we couldn’t get the number one pick, but the spurs and Mavs got their guy via the number one picks as soon as the committed tanking. Hell the Mavs didn’t even commit to tanking for the full year when they got the number one pick. It always bothered me but it’s really started to sink in heavily as this seasons progresses on and we have no identity or direction to go. Spurs and Mavs fans know they’re going the right direction and will continue to get better every year. I don’t feel that confidence as a rockets

    3 years of tanking, no number 1. Meanwhile, the Mavs trade away Luka to get a guaranteed pick by the NBA, and the NBA couldn't wait to gift Wemby to the Spurs their first year of tanking. Always feeling like the readheaded Texas child. We always have to overcome more to win.

    Dallas got Flagg as a solid for the Luka trade. Not entirely unlike the windfall of #1 overalls that Cleveland got in the wake of LBJ departure. I’m of the belief Wemby was steered to SA because of Tony Parker being well connected.

    I can’t think of a single thing dumber than thinking the league rigged everything to ensure the San Antonio Spurs got the best player in a generation. Not NY. Not Cali. Not Chicago.
    San Antonio.
    Meanwhile they gifted their next Big White Hope to Dallas because they … desperately wanted the last Big White Hope to go to a bigger market?
    Yup, makes sense.
