ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Knicks 2/21/2026

The Nuggets losing to the Warriors gleague team is exactly why I think the Rockets will be alright in the standings lol.

Many here aren't paying that much attention to the other teams around us but they aren't too hot right now either and are also pretty unreliable. Feels like they too keep dropping games they should win.

 

Yeah Rockets are very fortunate other teams are losing. Problem is the Rockets season going forward is more iffy due to 1) KD's injury history plus 2) the fact we are regressing. 2025 portion, Rockets were blowing out teams. 2026 portion, they're barely winning, and getting blown out. The book is obviously out about how to beat the Rockets. Ime's fault.

Other teams are losing but Rockets have built no room for error. One loss and we're the 6th seed.

 

I feel like Oladipo should be on that list

Props to Jackson on LOR for keeping it real about Ime’s poor coaching in this game. I’m tired of the bad rotations and lack of offensive creativity. Followed by the press conference where he blames lack of physicality.

 

Brunson is a point guard who is clutch in the 4th
Our problem is not having a closer besides KD
He builds the lead sits down with the thought that he is done for the night, but rushed back in to do it again, when Jabari, Sengun and Amen are supposed to be able to close but can’t make good decisions.

KD is a near 20 year vet playing better than I expected, don’t be mad cause the young core that are absolved of major criticism don’t know how to close or play under pressure

 

Ain’t nobody on this team that can close on this team! Nobody
KD has been turnover prone, and he was again, but do you really trust anybody else on this team to make a play consistently in the playoffs?
