Nothing like the Grizzlies for a feel-good game.

 

Not tonight he didnt.

 

I guess it takes all kinds but I sure enjoy the posts during/after a win versus some of the crud we've endured the last couple of games.

 

Happy for the WIN.

Russ didn't play either.

Very almost <100 points surrendered too.

 

Harden still nowhere near his best but hit a huge three had a 43-10-7 game.

Gordon still can’t dribble to save his life and for a minute he looked better but was a disaster again

House was the defensive beast of last season. Best game of the season

Clint a much better game. Active on the boards and hustled hard.

Maybe he was informed that refs would be calling those as travels. Might also be why we was workshopping that weird one legged step back before the season started.

 

Notice how little we score without Westbrook?

 

Why would they though? The rules clearly state those arent travels. Harden doesnt start getting hot from three until like like late November-December anyways.

 

Tucker seems to be a step slower than usual. Almost seems like he shrunk a few inches.

Rockets aren’t known for being a defense oriented team so when we actually try on defense, normal defense sequences are called fouls.

Harden looks to be coming into form.

MDA trust Ben McLemore a lot.

Overall team played well. Seems like MDA just wanted us to run and get our legs underneath us. Hopefully this is a turning point and allows us to move forward.

Yeah, a win is a win and i guess that's all that matters now, but that's about it for me, we were up 6 with two minutes to go against the bench of the worst team in the league. I hope this win actually doesn't make the guys feel too relaxed cause the upcoming games on paper are going to be harder, let's say.

 

Didn’t watch but The Grizz are trash and we still have up 100. Ouch.

Yeah it’s obvious you didn’t see the game. The defense was much better tonight

 

Then you didn’t watch well enough.

Not coincidence someone didn’t play and the Rockets pace slowed and defense drastically improved.

 

Finally shot in the mid 30s on 3’s (mostly due Harden), but shot 37% from the floor otherwise, good thing Memphis can’t shoot the 3 very well or I am sure this is a loss. They did it w/o Russ which is a positive, but the D was still very meh, and while Ego finally put together a decent game this win doesn’t really feel like much of a win. I know I’m being super negative, but this team isn’t gonna cut it against good squads (there are too many to list especially in the West). I think the team we see more often than not this season (barring any big trades or roster upgrades) is the one that got lit up last night in Miami. Would love to be proven wrong here but our lack of length and athleticism (not counting Russ or House) is not gonna cut it against the really good teams ! Nice but meh win tonight if you ask me.
