That's an interesting article. Don't change Westbrook's mindset. Adopt his.

I wonder if they get real and point out body language, standing around, and pouting- no matter WHO it is...

You are just making my point for me, Rockets had no bench last season hence the the short rotations.

You have obvious recency bias because you are coloring all of your perceptions with last season and beginning of this season when Rockets lacked a dependable even playable bench due to injuries and/or bad fits.

If your seriously believe playing Nene or Green more was the answer to beating GSW last postseason then you are lost.

Which player do you believe could have swung any games in Rocket's favor if he was played more during this truncated period?

Ever since buyout and trade deadline, D'Antoni has increased our rotation, you have all lauded him for it.

But he is still figuring out chemistry, again it's only been SEVEN games since Green and DMC were added. And EGo also just recently returned from injury. While I have wanted to see more DMC as well but lets be honest, Demarre is not the x-factor that would have won vs. Clippers. And against Knicks, it appears he was nursing an illness.

he doesn't develop his bench during the reg season, which is part of the reason he doesn't trust those guys in postseason. we could have used clemons' shooting in many games this season. the knock is that he's a liability defensively. okay. but EGO is not? EGO is having one of the worst seasons of any rockets rotation player in the past several decades. he brings buck fuking johnson to mind. clemons adds a dynamic to the team when the offense is bogged down and/or 3's aren't falling. but the guy has barely seen the floor all season, even before the big trade.

kerr used 11 players, including end of the bench guys, desperately trying to keep his team afloat while stephenie was in foul trouble game 6. phil jackson did the same thing in the 2nd half of a finals game down double-digits, and came back to win. rudy t was one of the best at making in-game decisions to counter the situation and give his team a better chance. pringles just insists on staying the course and spamming more and more 3's, hoping they'll start falling. he literally freezes up like a ******* deer, unable to get off the fuking country road even when an SUV is motoring right at him.

as far as recency bias, errr, he's done the same thing everywhere he's been. game 5 against SAS was not recent. his dislike in previous stints stems directly from his having run starters into the ground.

i give him a pass on DMC b/c it seems like he's been trying to get EGO back into shape w/ the wing minutes, plus house has had good minutes.

Clemons is your reason that you want MDA removed??? Wow.

Clemons would be destroyed in switch everything defense.

His defense and EGo's defense, even on a down year, is not comparable.

    At all.

I mean to suggest they are is stunning.

reads a lengthy dossier exposing pringles as a non-championship level coach, then extracts one snippet to shriek pringles shouldn't be fired for that!

    smh

I didn't get to watch this game but I'm assuming we lost due to D'Antoni's stubborn refusal to play Hartenstein.

The rest of your lengthy dossier was pretty crappy too.

Not sure how you can support playing a deeper rotation with EGo, Clint and House all either injured or returning from injury and Nene unofficially retired. Tyson physically limited and load managed (same with Russ).

Your solution was for MDA to play more players when roster had 6-7 unplayable players due to unavailability and/or fit.

Giving Clemons, Harty, Frazier, Howard minutes is the hill you are going to die on?

sefolosha and clark were glued to the bench first half of the season. it's not completely about whether they were necessarily the most effective pieces to plug, but also about getting the starters rest. tucker has played like a guy under severe fatigue since the first month of the season.

again, pringles runs his players into the ground. this is a historical fact, one which you want to just sweep under the rug w/ a 'pretty crappy' label, because it shatters your entire argument that he isn't stubborn and could get to the finals one day. but he will not change, leading to his likely retirement at the conclusion of this season

Would you fire Brad Stevens then?

Because he obviously did not make any "adjustments" or play more than 7 guys vs. Rockets in their OT loss.

Seriously, you do not provide real insight or solutions but complain ad nauseum about coaching decisions that are commonly used throughout the NBA.

Not enough timeouts, not playing end of bench, no adjustments, etc. is just generic fake takes by media and uninformed fans. Do you realize how effective Rockets have been with executing plays after timeouts, especially after ASB?

Of course not, you will gloss over this because it does not fit into the reality that you have created for yourself.

If you have ever coached or played at any level you would realize that there so many factors that affect decisions during a game. Illness, allergies, small injuries, personal/family issues, migraines, food poisoning, hangovers, matchups, player is in zone, player in slump and yes, coaching - coaches can have bad days too.

dafuq are you rambling about. simply fuking ridiculous. desperately making up BS out of thin air after having already lost this argument 20 posts ago.

first of all brad stevens played 9 guys against us in boston, including romeo langford 11min, wanamaker/ojeleye/williams all 13min each

in the previous loss at HOU, 9 players

in his 5pt loss to UTA last nite, 11 players

in his 6pt win over CLE the game before that, 11 players

brad stevens squeezes a lot out of his roster, even without MVP-level players to use as a crutch

as far as pringles having bad days, those have historically come in elimination games.

He will be home, that is for sure. Great song for a 'great' coach.
