Not really. There is no equating. The number of impact players in football is infinitesimally higher than basketball. Basketball wins and losses are so heavily decided by one player being the best on the court where football is never about one player.

Getting the best player in the draft wins out over quantity in the NBA every single time. You wouldn't trade Lebron James for 5 draft picks.

So who's the best player in this draft? After about 4 the opinions are all over the place. If you pick 3 guys your chances of hitting a winner are by definition, better. Hit 1 winner and now you have greatly improved you team.

Plus there is more pressure on all the players to step up their game. Draft 1 prima donna and the rest of the team knows only 1 guy is getting replaced, and the prima donna knows he has a spot no matter what.

I don't know about this, since a live chat room will be up by 6pm.

Most of the foot traffic will be there, I bet.

Marc J. Spears: The @Warriors don't have anything hot trade wise & expect to keep 7th pick. Expect GS to select best player available regardless to position about 8 minutes ago

And your chances of one of those 3 being a championship building block are still almost zero.

David Aldridge @daldridgetnt 1h Source: Bobcats have five legit offers they're currently exploring to trade the second pick overall in tonight's NBA Draft.

I'm sure rockets are one of the teams??

Today is such a good day for Obama he might actually get selected 1st overall. Is that even legal?

Honest question, could the POTUS get selected for the draft or is there a method of declaration of the draft someone must go through?

Looks more and more like the Magic aren't ready to part with Dwight...

I think the Morey will go to his backup plans and gets someone out of left field.

    Darkhorse trade candidates:
    Al Jefferson
    Joakim Noah
    Sideshow Bob

Why would you say that when we know lots of future Super Stars evolve out of the mid round?

In a particular draft, how many players do you think there are that are good enough to be the best player on a title team?

"Rockets are good, but not good enough. Bad, but not bad enough." - just now on ESPN. Seriously, we have to get outta this rut of mediocrity. It's maddening. TODAY IS ABOUT BIG MOVES!
