Inspired by Jeff's post about the running group dropping the white trail to follow and the group members with the club names Pound Puppy and Donut Holer, I thought i would start a thread for everyone to post theirs and friends club names and maybe the process involved in getting that name.

Now as for myself, as part of our basketball club, when you are initiated you get a club name, mine is Grandma, now I can't go into the details of the initiations (as that would invoke re-initiation) but basically i got my name as I am not the quickest player on court and I am involved in lots of club organising and keeping the club running.

Anyone else have a name and tale they wish to tell

All of my clubs are slowly but surely disappearing, into the water, wrapped arond trees. If they cannot hit the ball straight, I have no further need for them. Who invented this game?

I belong to the Delta club in Houston. Pretty cool social club. I don't have a nickname, yet.
