Clint is trying to play without a respiratory system and you people call him soft?

It baffles me how Mike was running him out there until the end, even more since he knew he was not exactly right. If he played it means the doctors gave the Rockets the green light to play him, but once you see he's just not able to contribute, you have to take him out.

I'm a big fan of Clint but he was absolutely putrid out there yesterday, so much that i thought he was kinda obvious there was something wrong going on (and there was already something weird in his look in game 3, other people noticed that). I just don't understand how Mike played him so much in the second half, especially when the game was on the line, it's not like he has no option, he has two more centers on the bench, he can go small...bah, whatever.

Sorry but since the Yao and Mac Era I have lost some confidence in Keith Jones, the medical staff altogether.

Houston might be the only city that calls sick or injured players SOFT

Agreed. Not only was it dumb to play him, it’s likely he put other players at risk of getting sick. Can you imagine if another player gets sick now? Why would you not play someone like Nene instead? Idiotic move by MDA

Don't blame Clint when he's been sick. This post is frustrating. Why bash our starter? Its all on our coach for not playing a backup center.

No sir you can add Philly to the list. Those fans are psycho. If they’ll eat horse shiit off a public road after a Super Bowl win then they’ll call a sick or injured player soft. McNabb was routinely called soft and he once beat AZ on a broken leg.

It's a close out game. You win it, and EVERYBODY gets rest for about 5 days (or more depending on LAC)
So, if your $90 Mil big guy says he can go, you GO.
Otherwise, Gobert just massively outsizes Faried and Nene

I don't blame coach for playing Clint and trying to get the close out W here.
Put your chips all in and go for it

this thread is utterly ridiculous. I was cursing out Capela mid-game too, but are we just going to ignore how much more we sucked when he sat? Couldn't grab a friggin rebound for nothing.

Him having a respiratory illness makes so much sense. He looked weathered

Maybe if we had played a center when he sat we wouldn't have sucked as bad.

Faried was put out there for 5 minutes. The way he played against their bigs in those 5 minutes was enough to see that he wasn’t going to be the answer to anything that game. He was lost and couldn’t get a rebound.

Mike ADJUSTED by trying the small ball lineup. Didn’t work out. Nene could have been tried, but who knows maybe we get a different result, maybe not. I don’t think Hart is ready for anything but to run out the clock in a blowout, especially against Gobert.
