So this means the lakers won't offer capela much because they want to save $$ for kawhi when he becomes a free agent. Capela will be a Rocket again. It appears the Lakers are not going to give up their young ballers for Kawhi and will wait till free agency to get him.
-When he signed Jeremy Lin -When he signed McHale to that extension -When he drafted Joey Dorsey -When he resigned Joey Dorsey -When he drafted Royce White
LOL. Keep doubting Morey. Fans do it every year. Edit: I just realized how far you had to go back to search for his mistakes.. I though Anderson was a cherry pick and you didn't even mention that one.. There are no other glaring reasons why you don't trust Morey?
He's fantastic. But let's not act like he hasn't made huge blunders. Letting Capela walk without a real backup plan would be HUGE mistake
That's your list? He's been on the job for over a decade and that's your proof that Morey doesn't have a plan? Show me a GM who gets every signing/draft pick right? ...and nevermind the fact Morey took us from the sadly pathetic Tmac/Yao years to getting a young future MVP and a HOF level player WITHOUT tanking while staying competitive(we currently have the 2nd longest active playoff streak in the league - tied with the Warriors)....and today we have two HOF level players on the roster! Take a look around and tell me how many other teams have done significantly better over the last decade. Even GS and Boston bottomed out to get to where they are today.
The point is he has made mistakes. If Capela leaves without a backup plan that'll be a HORRIBLE mistake. I do like Morey
Who knows. RFA can create bad blood. When Hayward left Utah he specifically mentioned bad blood still from his RFA years earlier.
