Not only if Cleveland losing its hoops superstar, it's also losing its basketball beat writer. The exodus continues. (Couldn't the Houston Chronicle have found a way to pawn off Jerome Solomon on ESPN or some New York/Detroit media outlet when McGrady left?)

And by the way, this sure sounds like a lot of people devoted by a national sports outlet on just one team:

Editorial contributors to The Heat Index:

Wonder if people will get tired of them midseason...

No city in America will feel more collective ecstasy (and relief) in winning a major sports champions than Cleveland when they finally win their next one, whether it be the Indians, Browns or Cavs... even if it takes another 5+ decades.

Heat Index is pretty ridiculous, but you can't say that nobody cares about the Heat when a video of LeBron James missing two hook shots in practice gets multi-page threads in several forums and over 50,000 views. The "haters" are the ones throwing fuel into the fire.

At least they had a sitcom dedicated to them in the 70's. That's something to be proud of, amirite?

Didn't the Indians win a World Series in the mid 90's. That's pretty much the same time the last Houston team won a championship (Aeros, Comets, Dynamo do not count the same way the big 3 does).

No, they lost to the Marlins.

This "Heat Index" thing has little appeal to me because I care most about watching the games. The only time it may be interesting is if some lockerroom drama develops and is exposed.

Who cares where he went... He was a FREE AGENT, I wouldn't care if a Rocket did this. It just means he never cared about the team, so why should I continue to care for him.

The Indians lost two World Series in the 1990s, to the Braves and the Marlins.
