Spring training is only a few weeks away, right?

I would be pissed at whomever wrote the insurance policy and put Jan 31st as the date.

Especially considering that the Astros have been backloading and restructuring his contract so that he'd get the majority of his money at the end of his contract/career. He deserves what he's getting payed this year, whether he plays or not.

 

Pitchers and catchers report Feb. 16

Other players report on Feb 21 or Feb 28

Opening day is April 2

So he still has a good 3 1/2 months to throw 90ft.

 

I guess he could use the pitcher for the cutoff man when the play is at 3rd.
