Lets not go too far...Jamison is like 37...

Also Lowry is still a beast on defense and he's bigger and him and Brooks make a nice combo. I say sign Ish, keep him under wraps just in case Iggy or Granger become available.

Philly may like Lowry and I think Lowry would love to go there if given the chance.

He could make Lowry expendable by the trade deadline, or he'll never look good again. Way too early to make any assumptions.

Correction, Jamison is 34. Still though another old player is the last thing this team needs. Plus he didn't really impress in Cleveland.

No one is saying that we should get rid of AB or Lowry to keep Ish. What some of us are saying is that clearly Ish is more than serviceable. Let's sign him for cheap and hopefully it will pay dividends when one of our PG's goes down or if we trade one of them.

I really hope Ish pans out. I have never seen such fluid passing and ball handling from a point guard that plays in the D-League.

    Okay,

barring us seeing something amazing from Alexander Johnson, I'm pretty sure Ish is gonna take the last roster spot now, right?

I mean I don't think this point is arguable even for CF.

Alexander Johnson would also have to be really, really amazing, because, frankly J-Hill has been all-around decent as backup center. We could do worse for a 3rd string center.

Oh. I could have sworn he played in Rio Grande...
Regardless, Morey usually has an eye for nabbing decent under-exposed players.

If we're trading with the Cavs, I want us to go for Varejao or Hickson + Gibson...only in exchange of Lowry, Jeffries + fillers.

ish smith reminds alot of rondo.

not the best shooter, but man does the kid have court vision. he seems to have a pretty big wingspan too. i sure hope he makes the team.

It's only 1 preseason performance, but I think everyone on the board can agree that Ish is worthy of the last spot on this roster. The dude has some sick court awareness and can run the break like a seasoned vet. This team is DEEP!!!!

Cavs wouldn't even trade Hickson for Amare Stoudemire. They are way too high on him.

Gotta keep him! I didn't know he was so good on defense. Wake Forest really can churn out those PG's! They've displaced UCLA as PG-U.

Time to cosolidate and make a move. Thaddeus Young would be a solid grab so would Iggy, but the play of Ismael Smith looks like could have made Lowry expendable. Last season Sixers wanted Lowry in a Iggy deal. Smith looked good that was the best i've seen him play though thought his summer league was solid enough to earn a competing spot. His game reminds me of Rondo and how entered the league unheard of. Looks like if any trade goes down Hill, Lowry look like the center pieces. Plus we have the Knicks 1st round pick swap this will net a pretty good player. Then we resign Brooks and sign Landry which makes Patterson expendable. Landry wants to go back to Houston.

How soon we forget how good Lowry's defense is. He was in the top in holding 1's and 2's to a low FG%. Plus Lowry gets to the line and is not affraid of contact. If a move goes down, Iggy is another player that was in the top, plus he is the better scorer/playmaker/defender.
