Good breakdown, I see Lowry staying put. So rockets and Spurs. Both need to clear cap, both have super stars in there prime, both have solid coaching staffs. Wow going to be a tough call for CP3.
Sorry, but would it be possible to have this lineup: PG - Paul SG - Harden SF - George PF- Griffin C- Capella Bench scrubs?
More to the point, only ppl injured and underperforming their contract keep their option year. That's the point of Player Option is guarantee against lack of skill termination, while the pt of team options is to keep the player when overperforming their contract. You always opt out for the big payday, which is huge with the Clippers. This is the type of thread that gets fans overly excited, then the player re-ups with his team and we blame Morey for getting us excited. So sad.
Lowkey... I'm kind of afraid of what the T-Wolves might do. They have some ways to add a Paul or a Griffin which could vault them into the Warriors convo. Which is insane. Imagine: Paul Wiggins Butler Dieng Towns or Rubio Wiggins Butler Griffin Towns Jesus.
I still don't think it would happen, but how the hell would you stop CP3 AND Harden? Let's not forget that Chris Paul was a 40% 3 point shooter last season so if you cheat off him to double Harden when Harden has the ball he'll kill you that way and he's still one of the best creators in the NBA for when he's got the ball in his hands. I'm not expecting it to happen, but it would be pretty crazy if it did.
Supposedly griffin is done with cp3 and doesn't want nothing to do with him so them playing together again has a 0% chance of happening.
i was like deavan george and adrian griffin? then i realized you were talking about blake griffin and paul george. hell to the no. even if it was i wouldn't want chris and blake teaming up here.
That's the weirdest thing, and imo, why people get upset at Morey and think he sucks/overrated/etc... He gets us in the door and we have meetings but don't land the superstar so everyone gets let down and start blaming him. Like its not his fault the player chose a different path, but it is his fault we actually got a meeting. If you could go on a date with j. Lo but don't get a follow up date or don't hit I'm not gonna be mad or hate you or think you lacked game to bang. Imma prop your for being able to get the opportunity. You go and get a date with Olivia munn and again don't hit or get a follow up date. Again not mad but now I'm like damn homie, you doing a good job out there. A 3rd or more time with these supermodels and Inna start thinking you are really good at this hustle. I'm also gonna think sooner or later you gonna bang one. And props to you for that. I'm hoping Morey bangs Mila Kunis this off-season. Meanwhile, some peeps don't want him to try.
Jerry West is now running the Clippers. The Clippers can and will offer the super max. Paul is a huge proponent of players getting every damn dime possible, he isn't leaving tens of millions of dollars on on the table without some tangible indication of a position in the front office after he is done (which he wants). Les Alexander won't do that. Daryl Morey will try his best but a number of other attractive options out there. He isn't going to the leave the Clippers unless Blake "BONG" Griffin goes to Boston.
From what I'm seeing the jock tax in Cali is 13.3%? Based on my findings my calculations are as follows. If you strip the "5th year" from comparing staying in LA to moving to Texas he would make more money here. And let's be honest, he isn't worried about that 5th year. He will get it. And the 5th year would be a player option he would put to use. So in LA he could get the 5yr 205,030,000 super Max. If you eliminate the "5th year" it is 158,371000 Which is higher than the 152,005,005 we could offer. Now if you apply the jock tax of 13.3% in California it drops it to 137,308,056 But I believe the jock tax only applies for games in Cali so let's add back half that tax deduction. With 41 games at 13.3% jock tax he earns 147,839,528 So the 4 year Max in Cali is 147,839,528 The 4 year Max in Texas is 152,005,005 So he would actually make an extra 4,165,477 more playing in Houston. *all math done under 101m salary cap projection **i am not an expert and am just guessing about with limited knowledge.
Chris Paul is an amazing basketball player and he would be an unreal get. Slightly concerned with peronality conflicts, but oh well.
I'm more concerned with player fit... would be two primary ball handlers in the line up ... would prefer to spend our money elsewhere
LeBron and kyrie LeBron and dwade Steph and durant You pretty much need 2 elite ball handlers now a days just to compete and be taken serious.
Yea... they're are some noticeable differences in there... PF/Guard PF/Guard PF/Guard we would be Guard/Guard
