What’s bizarre, and I’m sure it’s been mentioned, is that Twitter isn’t even allowed in China because of government censorship. This is a phony “crisis” created more by the CCP than Daryl Morey exercising his free speech. In my opinion.
Some of you people live in a fantasy world...those people can vote no a thousand times and be absolutely fine. You mentioned in another thread “imagine what it’s like to be born and raised in China” I’ll tell you it’s pretty great lol.
no one: china: (is communist and knows they are) someone: says "that’s bad and I don’t support it" china: WTF
It's absolutely ridiculous for China to destroy its relationship with the entire NBA because of one tweet from one of 30 GM's
Unfortunately, Tilman's "THE ROCKETS ARE NOT A POLITICAL ORGANIZATION" tweet was pretty pandering. That did more harm than good, I think. Wish he wouldn't have tweeted that.
China bans NBA.... The real issue is the NBA blackout rules!!! Morey needs to tweet about that BS!!!!!!!!!!!!
This whole thing is way out of control. All China had to do, at most, was say, "Stay TF out of our politics, please." I guess authoritarian tendencies run the same everywhere; like when Trump can't let anyone famous (Bette Midler, for God's sake) criticize him in any way (let alone the media) without a tweet-lash. Just way out of control.
China drops 76ers broadcasts as Hong Kong row rumbles on https://www.japantimes.co.jp/?post_type=sports&p=2872489&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+japantimes+(The+Japan+Times:+All+Stories)
If China insists banning teams Morey has ‘tainted’ let’s be sure to add the Celtics to the ban list. I’m looking forward to Morey having a long career spanning many teams forcing China to ban all game broadcasts until only broadcasts of games between the Kings and Hornets remain.
