    He was 85. Damn. I grew up with his show as a kid. He was very popular with the hispanic community. RIP.

    He was an icon for decades. Theres nobody I can really compare him. Everyone knows him kinda like don francisco. It just wasn't 1 generation he attracted but multiple and still currently strong.

    The world got a little bit dimmer today! I grew up watching "El Chavo del Ocho", and still watch it on occasions! His style of comedy/humor was 100% innocent, you wouldn't hear or see any vulgarity in any of his shows! I have very fond memories of watching his shows as a youth and it saddens me to hear of his passing!...:(

    Grew up watching this guy.. so many memories and good times are tied to his shows. DEP. Chespirito and Cantinflas were/are probbaly the biggest icons in Mexico in the last 50 years.
