Looks like I can get that phone for free. Good ****. https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/shop/phones/details/samsung-galaxy-a20/610214661197/32
How about this question -- if you had to buy the best 2 year old phone with the strongest rep for reliability what would you choose?
I am really liking this A20, its smaller than I like not screen size just horizontally. Everything is much faster, screen is amazing. Does not look bad with a case and screen saver, 1st time using them. pretty intuitive, still exploring the phone but so far so good. Ended having to pay a connection fee of 50 bucks but got out at 109.00 and had my 1st month paid. They are also offering amazon prime with the 60 dollar plan, I already have prime and it is cheaper with a 50 dollar plan. Still looking to get a note but this will definitely do for now.
in my part of the globe, i have found xiaomi to be very good in both spec and reliability. they're quite cheap and good for gaming.
in southeast asia. i think xiaomi and oppo is big here due to their super affordable prices. i know india gets all the newest xiaomis with the largest variety.
My A20 samsung is very buggy and switches screens randomly, not a fan. I just got the LG6 stylo which is actually the shape and size I want for 120. The phone looks great but the reviews say its slow because of the chip but it seems ok to me and I will not be doing any gaming or very much anything to do with apps. Calls and podcasts are the only things I do consistently, got it from cricket, how is the service?
I am loving this LG Stylo 6. For an under 200 stylus phone it is fabulous can get for under 150 if you search. Phone looks great as well so good I don't want to use a cover best use of plastics I have seen looks very premium. Works great for me as well maybe a little lag. For somebody that uses phones for basic stuff I highly recommend.
Apple is king in this department (in my opinion). Any iphone (regardless of price) will easily last two years with minimal performance decline. There are lots of reasons to dislike an iphone but reliability shouldn't be one of them. I have the new iphone SE for that reason. It was affordable and I upgraded a 5 year old iphone in the process. I dont think I could last 5 years on any Android device without severe performance declines and a lack of software updates. And I expect to use the current iphone SE for another 5 years as well.
Heads up on the Google Pixel 4a 5G $200 off for new Google Fi subscribers ($150 off for current subscribers). Brings the price down to $299. Same processor and camera as the Pixel 5. Think I'm gonna do this to have a backup phone. https://fi.google.com/about/phones/pixel-4a-5g
Peace of mind with 3 years of guaranteed monthly security updates directly from Google, top flight camera. Samsung/LG and some of the others don't exactly have a great track record of supporting their phones that aren't their topline models. When I say backup phone for me, I have a lot of 2FA applications for my accounts. So it's important to have the same setup on another phone just in case. I stick with what I know, which are Pixels. But for anyone else, are we saying $300 isn't cheap enough?
I think it's a great deal. I think the people in this thread are looking for sub-$100 phones. Edit- my bad, reading through this thread, looks like $300 hits the spot for the cheapskates.
