Thought it'd be useful to have a place where all the broke folks could list/view places with good drink specials/happy hours (I'm talking cheap!). After a while, we can make a spreadsheet to ensure no Clutchfan will ever go thirsty again. Here's a few to get the ball rolling: Pappy's Cafe (I-10 and Campbell) - $2 frozen ritas all day, every day Armadillo Palace (Kirby and ~South Blvd.) - $1.50 Tecate and Tecate Light on Tuesdays Big Woodrow's (the Rock of Chim. and Richmond) - if you buy their glass pitcher you can continuously fill it up for $4 on Tuesdays, same with pints on Thursdays for $1
I used to live right across the highway from Pappy's and I've never been in there, daaaaammmmmmmnnnnnn
They have the best chicken tenders with homemade honey mustard you've ever had, and yes, I realize how bold a statement that is. They also have these killer appetizers called Scorpion Tails - bacon-wrapped, jalapeno-stuffed fried shrimp with spicy melted cheese. Awesome place. I've heard of this place in passing, but don't know anyone who's ever been. That's a pretty nice sounding deal right there.
I think Tailgate and that place in the Village that brews its own stuff both have $1 beer nights during the week. There is also a Mayzar bar off Montrose that boasts ยข50 drinks on Friday but umm. Not my style if you know what I am sayin.
this is a great idea, hopefully a spreadsheet will come next. Loggias (sugarland) $1 beer draft and wells
this is a great idea, hopefully a spreadsheet will come next. Loggias (sugarland) $1 beer draft and wells (Tuesdays)
The place is called Two Rows and I believe it's Wednesdays they do the $1 home brews. I think it's till ~10pm. There is, however, a catch. I heard the reason they do it is to get rid of all the old beer cause they make it fresh on Thursdays. I believe it, cause it tastes like poo.
Los Cucos (all locations) - $0.99 drafts and $1.50 margaritas every day before 4pm and all day on Mondays and Tuesdays. BTW, this is a great idea, hopefully a spreadsheet will come next.
all i was gonna add was Tall Texan and Los Cucos. oh and antidote (small coffee shop too on Studewood) has $2 Shiners from 4-7 everyday. it's not a bar atmosphere but they do have an outdoor seating section.
I think there's one on 290 and Jones in that shopping center, but that's no longer my neighborhood so don't quote me on that. Teachers on summer vacation. (hint: they're usually the loud ones on the patio)
They also have the best Chicken Fried Steak in the city. Crazy Dave and me have been eating there over 20 years.
my life starring michael keaton vida loca in katy has $1 drafts and $2 margs 4-7, m-f. that's been our friday night place for the last two months.
