There is absolutely nothing wrong with not being a UT fan in Texas. Nothing at all. I'm will pull for most every school in Texas to do well...except Tech (I just never liked them). However, some have an unnatural hatred for all things UT. Any possible negative article about the school or one of it's athletes comes out, and he's sure to post it. Try to remind him that he fails to do the same when it comes to other schools and he replies back with such gems as "UThugs" and "t-shirt fan". It's kind of sad, really.
To a lot of people think UT, and to a lesser extent A&M, represent what is wrong with Texas' higher education policies in terms of inequity based not on merit, but rather on circumstance. Sure colleges will hoard resources and bully their way to the top, so you can't really blame them for protecting their own interests, and it is mostly a legislative problem, but you can't blame people for resenting them for it either. Bigtexxx's case is a special one though, he just likes pissing people off on the internet for no good reason.
so UT people are jealous of Florida? I have no real attachment to any texas schools. I just hope they all represent well when they play non-texas schools and that it's a hard fought game with texas schools.
Some UT people may be, but I doubt it....UT is probably the premier athletic program in the country. DD
that's what most UTers think...and that's what makes many of them so annoying. They are a heavy weight and certainly in the top tier.
they brought in the most revenue of any other football program in the nation last year. ~$73 million. it's certainly not an outrageous statement. people sure get thin-skinned around ut fans. suck it up.

I'm not arguing that they aren't a powerhouse...i said as much. athletic programs extend beyond football. Forget it. I was stupid for even mentioning that UT isnt the best ever and always will be.
UT is great in most sports, they have been the top ranked, or near top ranked collegiate sports program for years. And Texx....following Florida now huh? Bandwagoner !! DD
So why do you care about all these fans of teams that didn't go to the school? Can't you just not talk smack to them? If they went to Prairie View A&M, how does that change your life? You weren't going to talk smack with them anyway. So in other words, before you went to A&M, you were a diehard Aggie fan?
As he said, before you got offended at nothing, UT's athletic achievements ALSO extend beyond football. For years, Texas has ranked second only to Stanford in overall athletic achievement.
My problem wasn't with him disliking UT. It was with him coming into the threads trolling about bull****... apparently from what it looks like... he always does it. Just wanted to know why he does that...
