Centers that i believe should be options for the Rockets 1) Nene - Great center but is 29yrs and overprice. I think he is worth it though. 2) Kyrylo Fesenko - Young, cheap and perfect for Rockets but is foul prone and is underexperience with no offensive threat. Great defender though 2) Samuel Dalembert - Best veteran out there but can be overprice 3) Jeff Foster - old but better than thabeet 4) Joel Pryzbilla - old and injury prone but great defender 5) Reggie Evans - old and undersize as a center at 6 8 but can rebound and play defense well 6) Joey Dorsey - young and cheap, great defender and rebounder but is foul prone, inexperience and no offensive threat. No potential too and undersize 7) Troy Murphy - Like Donut 6 11, offensive threat, but no defense, rebound, or anything else unless there is shooting involved 8) Kenyon Martin - old and overprice but great defender and average offense threat but is undersize at 6 9 for center. I think Fesnko is perfect for our team but he will need like 2-4 years to develop. Nene and Dalembert are other great options but are overprice Foster and Pryzbilla are great as starting centers for 1 season as they have experience and they are affordable too. What do you guys think we should sign??? Oh and there is YI Jialian too???
Why spend money signing a center so we can draft at 11th instead of 3rd? Play the current lineup. It'll be a painful season but only 60ish games.
3 questions: Since when is Joey Dorsey a "great rebounder" or defender? Since when is Troy Murphy a poor rebounder? Since when is Kenyon Martin a center?
Fesenko, he can contribute right away and still grow, plus we'd have him and Thabeet competing for minutes, maybe that could light a fire under Thabeet's ass.
Wait, why not Yi? He is a UFA, has a decent touch, dominated in FIBA, and he is 7'. At worst, he would be a good bench player. How expensive could he be?
Our lineup is the worst since Barkley blew his knee, bringing in Yi wouldn't be a bad idea at this point. Rockets are lottery bound.
