They got Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward coming back next year plus four 1st rd picks in 2019 I think they'll be fine
Eh. They'll still be fine. Lebron is going to be 34 next year. You might have a couple year window of being the favorites in the East but with all those 1st round picks around a core of Kyrie, Tatum, Hayward and Jaylen Brown the Celtics could be in the mix for the next decade.
It will happen sooner or later though. Remember when people were acting like Kobe was immortal and would never decline? It happened very rapidly when it happened. Same thing with Hakeem. One year he was playing at a near MVP level and the next his knees were gone and it was over. It happens to the greatest of them.
I truly believe Lebron has a lot of chemical help, I'm not just hating on him either. I believe if NBA had like random testing by a third party things would be a lot different for a lot of players.
I agree w' you, sad to say. There's just no way that a collection of the world's best athletes are somehow all one full rung below this guy's strength and stamina when he's 33. Or, it's incredibly UNLIKELY, to put it kindly. Smells a lot like Roger Clemens' late career heroics, cutting his ERA in half at age 34.
It happens to all men typically between 36-39 -- sudden rapid athletic decline (losing a step), loss of ability to self-heal minor nagging injuries, and onset of major injuries.
I would agree if I didn't see Lebron playing like an NBA All-Star by the age of 17. Now, if you said you wouldn't be surprised if Lebron was actually a robot I'd agree
i certainly think it's a possibility. i mean you pretty much have to be suspicious of anybody in this day and age. we could see a report come out about lebron. but if anyone was going to be way more athletic than any other 33 year old, it would be the guy who has been way more athletic than any other 23, 24, 27, 30, etc year old. plus, just like with baseball, i think we can safely assume lebron wouldn't be the only one doing it. also, the other day i was watching some youtube videos of barry bonds homers. the steroid era was fun to watch. those parks definitely weren't empty.
