If California spends $42,000 per homeless person and they are still homeless then the GDP positive goes absolutely nowhere In many red states like Texas or Tennessee or even Florida - you can make $42,000 per year, afford a Big Mac, drive a decent car, be less afraid of having that car broke into just for eating inside at a fast food restaurant, go to the movies two or three times a year to hopefully see a half decent movie, likely that $42,000 job has benefits ( perhaps even a company that use to be based in California but wisely chose to exit out ) as well so maybe get your teeth cleaned and health check ups, find things at Walgreens and without it being locked ...OR ... you can be homeless in California- have the state spend $42,000 per year on you and still be homeless @tinman
I don’t think California spends money to end homelessness Just to clean up and maintain it look at San Francisco’s $1.45 billion dollar budget Can you imagine if Houston had that budget ? we can upgrade Toyota center and maybe turn the astrodome into a hotel or something. @ROXRAN
@ROXRAN do you know who’s really rich in California ? Gavin Newsom , he owns wineries in Napa Do you know who else is rich ? His friends who donate to him like the guy who owns Panera Bread Who’s company is exempt because of donations to his campaign and a clause saying if you bake your own bread you don’t have to pay $20 to your workers lol also without billionaires who’s gonna pay for Jalen Green’s contract ? @Os Trigonum @Salvy
@ROXRAN @AroundTheWorld @Rocket River @basso if people here really hate billionaires and want to live in a place without billionaires we call those places ‘third world countries’ Have you been to the Middle East ? Where the ‘royal family’ are billionaires and everyone else just peasants ? there would not be the rockets without our ‘poor’ billionaire
DAMN RIGHT F*ck Dragons sitting on more resources than they can ever use and they hoard it to starve, rule, and deprive others F*ck them guys Rocket River
@ROXRAN @Salvy the right wing losers in this thread whinning 15 hr raising prices somehow are deadly quiet about trumps plan to raise tariffs and deport millions of low income AG workers. Morons
Why can’t homeless people get jobs at McDonald’s and Taco Bell since they are $20/hr jobs that require no skill? @AroundTheWorld @basso hmmm
You would think for $42,000 per homeless person the state of California could include some logistics support to make it happen at least - jeez - Great so spending $42,000 per homeless individual benefits the GDP but not necessarily the homeless so much - o wait, because of the $20 an hour mandate - there is less jobs available that would otherwise hire these people - nevermind /
Trump will make things so much worse. Have you seen the promises he made to his billionaire donors at Mar a Lago this past week?
That whopper would be way cheaper if they baked their own buns..... Or if they were friends with Newsom....
24 Billion and jacksh.it got accomplished- it would've been more fascinating and a greater accomplishment to dump 24 billion in a big pile of bonfire and invite all the homeless to gather around and watch the complete ineptitude well at least spending 24 billion for California homelessness and accomplishing absolutely nothing helps the GDP... Government cannot solve problems, it is the problem!
The people leaving that state are moving to new states for jobs and cost of living However the homeless people never want to leave because of cost of living is irrelevant and the state provides them with services that will not motivate them to get help or become successful or independent
Newsom and the rest of them don't give a damn about homeless people. How much of that money goes to their friends, family, allies, and, ultimately, themselves? Corruption in government is 100 times worse than you or I can imagine. Big government elites prey on poor and middle-class Americans for their personal enrichment. Any poor or middle-class American voting for these crooks needs to wake up.
