Sengun is way better than I even imagined already. He missed some easy shots I assume due to Nerves. Once the game slows down for him I'm not sure anyone can stop this dude. The behind back dribbles, the between the legs passes, the dream shakes, and even those blocks. Man this dude really might be the best player in the draft. Green got a lot of love today but Sengun out played him and he didn't even have a great game.
The Rockets have given literally zero indication if they're going to trade him or not, nor if they view him as a potential starter or not. Major "I'm pulling **** out of my ass" moment, lmao.
I couldn't watch the game- what really jumps out to me are the 14 ft attempts. Maybe even more than the 15 rebounds. Can anyone who watched tell me how he got to the line so many times in 30 mins?
He’s more physical than most on the floor, crafty around the basket and his positioning for a 19 yr old is ridiculous
these were mostly obvious fouls defenders were forced to make after he played one on one vs them and got into a position to score an easy layup, so they fouled him to make him earn it from the line
We'll see what happens in the regular season, but congrats to OP for the rare clutchfans post that ages well!
The commentary tonight was spot on for Big Al. Plays below the rim in a good way. Knows how to seal his man and is not afraid to call for the ball, even with the #2 pick handling the ball. Comfortable with facing up from the post. Guy knows where to box out. Only thing that will annoy me if he gets regular minutes in the league is the fact that fans in the Summer League game were already counting down his FT shot clock.
Hack show every time he went to the basket and on offensive rebounds, put backs. Nothing the other team could do, was always in the right position.
I could see the Jokic comparisons as his passing was really really good. His footwork was as advertised but his defense and physicality was much better that I expected. I was hoping for a little more above the rim as I saw a lot of dunks in the Turkish league highlights on YouTube. All in all looked great.
Looks like he’s getting his feet wet, and guards are going to have to learn how to get him involved. That or get him isolated to face up
Has a very polished post game and can also find the open man. This kid is going to be a problem especially if he attacks the boards consistently like he did tonight.
They will most definitely…Him and JG are the future. There is absolutely another level of his game to unlock.
I love how he quickly and skillfully dribbles and transitions into post up game when hes having the ball outthere on perimeter instead of just DHO or handing it over to guards like most of the bigs
and if he ever gets the 3pt shot he'll be able to attack closeouts no problem, and that is imho a big deal, because its one thing to merely be a 3pt threat and quite another to also be able to feast on overly aggressive closeouts!
