So I am buying a car in Texas but I am moving out of state in a month and a half. I will be living there for maximum of 2 years, then I will move back to Texas.

The state I am moving to has a sales tax of 5% (whereas Texas has 6.25%).

My question to you is, should I have my car titled where I am moving since it is cheaper?

It makes sense, but what are the titling charges when I move back to Texas? Would I just pay the difference (1.25%) or is it something more than that?

    Thanks for your help
