Series starts Tuesday! Pitching Matchups: 4-20 -- Jeff Suppan (0-2, 6.55) vs. Wade Miller (2-0, 1.38) 4-21 -- Matt Morris (2-1, 4.50) vs. Tim Redding (0-2, 6.23) 4-22 -- Jason Marquis (1-1, 4.91) vs. Roy Oswalt (2-0, 2.42)
I bet this is going to be his first win. Morris isn't at the top of his game yet (even though Redding isn't either) I just have a feeling this is going to be his first win. How about 6 and 2/3 innings gives up 2 earned runs and the Astros win 6 to 3.
My first thought is sweep, until Redding pitches...I'm two for two on series (wrong on SF)... Win the first and last, Redding loses 2nd...
'stros better be careful to keep their concentration and intensity up Card's pitching settled down over the weekend with them taking 2 of 3 vs a talented Rockies squad Of course now they've got to face the best hitting team in NL WWW! (pure blinded astro bias but im cool with that)
Off topic...... anyone know why they are planning to bring back pettitte when we get to Coors? Is this true?
Its his turn in the rotation... they'll take their chances with Pettite at Coors, rather than Duckworth at Coors. As for the Cards series, I'm gonna say LWW... except this time, they will all be close-fought affairs, with the bullpens playing a decisive role...
Win.Win.Win. Screw the Cardinals. They need to start knitting a "Co-Third Place" banner to hang up in Busch.
Castor- time and what channel the game is on would be a big help at the top Tuesday 7:05 PM Wednesday 6:05 PM Thursday 7:05 PM
Game 1 Tuesday - FSN Game 2 Wednesday - ESPN and FSN Game 3 Thursday - FSN http://houston.astros.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=hou
WWW Redding was screwed twice by going against apparently now Astros killer in Sheets. But Morris hasn't been the same since his injuries. We should be able to hit off of him. It's actually not that risky. I'm sure Jimy will have him on a short leash. When he's on Pettite's an extreme groundball pitcher who should fare quite well at Coors. Of course, if Bad Andy shows up, this might be 2-3 inning start for him.
