looks like he is getting more and more greedy as the time passes by. he is very young he can get the deal he is looking for later after this deal
Hes good but 17 Million a year is very fair- wow (CP3 and Harden can make any Center look good) Capela and Deandre Jordan are examples
You keep saying 4 yrs. icymi: The Rockets offer is 5 yrs for $85,,,so $17m-ish. It's arguably worse than the 4 yr $60m, but certainly no better. I have a feeling the extra year is not something he wants. So, it's $8m less per year than Adams, and Rockets want to lock him up for a year longer than Adams. The thread title is causing a lot of confusing around Feigen's more accurate tweet based on his sources. The Rockets offer is 5 years. $85m total is $17m per vs Capela wanting an Adams deal at $25m per for just 4 yrs. and I bet he and his agent don't view that 5th year at that rate as a good thing, as they'd prefer not being locked up that long at $17m
It's the downside of Capela's strong will and competitiveness. He forced his way over here when the Rockets would have been fine leaving him to grow a bit in Europe and he has a really high opinion of himself but he's consistently worked hard to become a better player. It's unfortunate but not surprising that he's demanding a fatter contract than most would say he's worth.
not going to happen unless another team signs him to an offer sheet.. He has no leverage.. noone has signed him to an offer sheet... just sign the QO and risk it) big risk for him)
Spoiler $12M No, $25M $13M No, $25M $14M No, $25M $15M No, $25M $16M No, $25M $17M No, $25M $18M No, $25M Fine, best of luck with $4.7M SIGNED.
By the way, I’m not trying to come off as “a matter of fact” - just asking. I didn’t watch Clippers at all this year. Just looking at statistics he looks like there wasn’t a big drop off (less efficient, but not a huge drop-off). But, I know stats don’t tell the full story
well yeah his numbers are going to still be somewhat comparable. someone is going to get them. but obviously those numbers don't translate to wins as much as when cp3 was there.
? Agent would counter an $8m/yr discount vs Adams with 3yrs, not more. 3 yrs gets him to the 7yr tenure mark sooner, plus a big raise sooner, assuming he continues performing Why would he consider that PO to have much value. As an agent, I would scoff at Morey and say a PO on a 5th year that we consider not close to Market at age 28 is just injury insurance. Like: "Thanks for worrying about my client getting injured in the future, but we would want LESS yrs at your $17m discount rate, not more."
